Review: Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #52

Here are not one, not two, but three (that's less than four and five and every number after it) awesome things about issue 52 of Weekly Shonen Jump! “Jump Start” continues bringing us new series this week with Chapter 1 of E-Robot, as Takujo no Ageha gets its second chapter.

Screenshot_2014-11-24-22-45-01E-Robot is about an erotic combat robot who uses her boobs-- literally, in more ways that you can even think of at the moment-- to help people.  It's completely fucking ridiculous, but it makes for some pretty hilarious moments.  I wouldn't rank it as a clear winner or loser compared to Takujo, however, because they are both one-trick ponies of a different kind.

One Piece is just completely awesome at the moment.  After the heavy flashback last week, the battle rages on between the current big baddie (Donquixote Doflamingo, how's that for a name?) and Trafalgar Law, part of the current pirate alliance that has been the subject of the last couple of arcs.

It's one of those chapters where you step back and see all the fights that need to be won even though we've been on this arc for around 70 chapters, so it's a great place to jump on without having to do a ton of reading.  Though you might be wondering why one of the bad guys is essentially a giant statue and why the other one has a baby bonnet and can swim through solid matter, these are the kinds of things that you are constantly wondering anyway because of Oda's mad genius.

TORIKO IS ABOUT TO GET FUCKED UP BY A MONKEY GOD WHO SKIPS MOUNTAINS ON THE OCEAN LIKE ROCKS, WOOOOO!
