Best of 2016: One-Punch Man
By Dustin Cabeal
Two words: Bald Cape. I laughed for at least five minutes. I put down the book and laughed. Well, really the book fell from my hands. As long as One-Punch Man continues as a series, I imagine that it will always find its way on this list. This is the second series that I’ve turned people onto by the way.
Now, last year was kind to One-Punch Man in that the anime was out and the manga collections were catching up and such, but this year it was all manga… and it was so much better than last year. The arc’s (plural) that One is building is incredible. There’s so much danger heading Saitama’s way, and it’s impossible to tell when it’ll hit. One-Punch Man is still one of the best manga ever made and my only gripe with the series is how Viz collects it for the states adding filler stories at the end instead of just keeping to the main storyline. Otherwise, this is a damn near flawless manga, and the creators are at the top of their game.
