The Beguiling Original Art returns to Comic-Con International: San Diego with hundreds of new pieces of original comic book art in hand, not previously seen on our website! The Beguiling will once again be set up in a corner of the Drawn & Quarterly booth #1629, and will have art on hand from many D&Q artists, as well as a wide range of art from some of the best art comics creators in the business.
This year's highlights include:
- Brand new pieces from Seth's illustrations for the Lemony Snicketnovel series "All The Wrong Questions"
- New comic strips and sketches from San Diego Comic-Con Featured Guests Kate Beaton and Lisa Hanawalt
- 2 complete full-colour stories by Japanese Erotic-Grotesque ArtistShintaro Kago
- Brand new covers and interior pages from Gabriel Ba & Fabio Moon, and this may be your last chance to purchase their comics pages as they intend to stop selling their original comics artwork.

In addition, The Beguiling will have an expertly chosen selection of original comics art on hand from its full roster of represented cartoonists. There will be large selections of pages from Marian Churchland (8house), Brandon Graham (King City, Prophet), Jeff Lemire (Sweet Tooth), Kagan McLeod(Kaptara), Bryan Lee O'Malley (Scott Pilgrim), Paul Pope (Battling Boy), and Jillian Tamaki (This One Summer), limited edition prints by gay comics legend Gengoroh Tagame and BL manga creator Est Em, and representative originals from more than a dozen other cartoonists! It is worth noting that, as every year, we will have a large selection of original comic pages by the recently departed cartoonist Geneviève Castrée(Pamplemoussi). Geneviève was a great friend of the store and entrusted us with her original artwork sales, and for many years fans and fellow creators would come the booth to be amazed by her work. It will certainly be sadder this year, but we're happy to have this work available for people to see. As always, the lion's share of the proceeds of the sale of this work will be going to her family.
