Press Release

Not news to people who follow the kickstarter and Nix Comics facebook page, but due to some health issues for some of the artists assigned to Nix Comics Quarterly and Nix Western Comics, those titles have been delayed. Good news is that everybody is back to healthy and work is in progress. Both books should ship with the books already scheduled to come out in September.  Sorry about that hiccup for those of you eager for a July package from Nix Comics!

Nix Comics T-Shirt Sale!
I have a lot of people recently ask me for Nix Comics T-Shirts, which unfortunately I don't have the money or space to keep in stock. Nix Comics and Records Mail Order
I continue to add merchandise to the Nix-retail site.  Right now there are over 1000 comics and records that should appeal to you as a Nix Comics fan.  All of the "new" material is bought directly from artists, small labels or from small distributors. It's my hope that I can grow this site into a way to support not only my own publishing efforts, but also the artistic works of my peers.

Happy Hour at Kafe Kerouac:
One of the things I really miss about having a shop space is the opportunity to shoot the shit with folks about records and comics.  To get my fix of that, I have scheduled a happy Hour sale at Kafe Kerouac here in Columbus on Friday, July 27 from 5:30 to 8:00pm.  I will bring a bunch of records and comics to sell, a bunch of pizza to share and my truly ageless wisdom of rock n roll media to spew at you!

Gahanna Art Hop:
More details with next month's update, but I have been asked by my good friends at the Mug and Brush Barbershop Gahanna to help out with a comics theme art hop on August 25th from 6pm to 9pm.  There is still some vendor spacer available, so if you sell comics (your own or used/collectible type stuff) please email me at ken@nixcomics.com for details.

Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC):
Hard to believe that CXC is just a couple months away!  Looks like thanks to the schedule hiccup mentioned above, I will debuting a whole mess of comics at the show! If you plan on being in town early fro CXC, let me know...  I'll probably throw some sort of record show shindig with live monkeys... er... musicians!
