It looks like I was the only one to miss out on the Resident Evil HD because this thing sold like gangbuster! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CpX9vkXsk0
Resident Evil has become Capcom’s fastest selling digital title in history across North America and Europe. The title which launched on January 20th has also broken the record for the biggest selling day one digital title on the PlayStation® Network.
Capcom’s Producer on the title, Yoshiaki Hirabyashi, commented “It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have enjoyed this new release. The team here at Capcom Japan have worked hard to bring the game to the latest generation of consoles and we are thrilled at this news on its performance.”
The critically acclaimed survival horror masterpiece continues to garner high praise in its recent remastered version. Originally released in 1996, Resident Evil was then “remade” in 2002 from the ground up. Both fans of the franchise who want a trip down memory lane and those who have yet to experience the game that coined the term survival horror for the gaming world will appreciate this definitive re-visit of that iconic 2002 Resident Evil title. The new remastered version includes various updates including visuals, sound, new Very Easy Mode, and options for control and aspect ratio.
Sounds like fun to me! Who knows, with this kind of success I wonder what other Capcom titles might make an HD return?
