Review: Bill & Ted's Most Triumphant Return #4

I actually enjoyed the A story this time round, the B story was not that interesting (but if you're buying this book at all it's not for the B stories). After the way the last issue ended I was worried as to what the last three issues would hold. Number four gets things back on track (well as on track as things get for Bill and Ted). Chuck De Nomolos has stolen Bill and Ted's identity as Wild Stallyns. This messes up the time-line which allows us to see what would have happened to them if they didn't win the battle of the Bill-&-Ted-Most-Triumphant-Return-#4-1bands. The artwork is as always the main reason I come back. I really like Jerry Gaylord's drawing style, it's vibrant and fun. There are a number of really good panels this month. Because of the time-line change the princesses have been returned to their own time. This leaves a great reveal of who Bill would marry in the alternate future. Also because they didn't win the battle of the bands, Ted had to join the army.

I really enjoyed the pacing this month, the story seems to flow better than previous outings. There were some nice reveals to things that feel authentic to Bill and Ted. The best thing of all this time is that the cliffhanger actually makes me intrigued as to whats going to happen next. It leaves you with anticipation for the next issue, which is a first for this mini-series.

Score 3/5
