This show… I don’t even know if it’s really trying to be believable and yet, I can’t stop watching it. The premise, again for those who forgot, is about a school dominated by girls that discipline delinquents that arrive at their gates. Boys, in particular, are treated like scum because let’s be honest, they’re scum. This made the formation of the Five Swords. A group of girls that rule over the school and are allowed to carry actual swords and are masters of their different sword styles.

The main dude, who has yet to attend a full day of school or any classes, misses another day. This time he’s escorted by Rin, the demon mask girl. The second episode had a hilarious scene of her as a small child wearing the full mask, and in this episode, we learn how she came to wear the partial mask, which is now a quarter of the mask thanks to the first episode. Rin isn’t the only one there to make sure he gets to class as… okay, I’ll be honest here, I don’t know any of their names, I barely remembered “Rin, ” and it doesn’t freaking matter since they’re all tropey and shit. The blonde character shows up and battles Rin, though we don’t see the battle and then goes to fight… the dude.

During this, he forgets to put on underwear, flashes the same girl he made cry in episode two and comes face to face with the girl who stabbed the shit out of him before. We see more of their flashback as she dressed a little like a man which confused him. She too has some kind of feelings for him… or something. I didn’t get it, but I’m sure there will be more.

The only part of the episode that was funny was when the main guy defeated the blonde and didn’t do anything crude. With some weird sense of logic she felt that she must be violated like the other women otherwise her pride would be hurt. When he passes on everything, she puts her stamp in her boobs, and he almost grabs for it which changes her perspective on men because he had control and wasn’t a pig… yeah, he’s a real catch or something. Rin shows up and professes that he’s hers and it’s just not even subtle.

I think I find this story interesting in that they’re not trying to put them in school or even pretend that this isn’t all about sword fighting. That doesn’t mean that it’s not ridiculous or even more ridiculous in that it even bothers to mention school, but hey whatever. There is just something stupidly fun about this show that brings me back for more. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s easy to watch on Amazon and nothing more.
