Well, well, well. I have returned, with a full review this time, for the latest installment of Cinderella: Serial Killer Princess. After having such a ball with the first issue, this second issue far exceeded any expectations that I initially came in with 

Cindy is back at it again on her mission to exact revenge on Robyn. Before tackling her main objective, though, Voodoo has Cindy taking care of little side jobs first.  With Cindy on a rampage, not even a lion trying to get his workout on is safe. Not even a dwarf, or his mustache, is safe from Cindy's wrath. Nope. No one is safe from the slicing and mowing down, literally, that Cinderella is dealing. 

The writing is fairly good. Cindy is one hell of a character and cracks jokes at every expense thrown at her. For the most part, I chuckled at just about every joke she unleashed. Even the little editor/narrator notes warranted a good laugh. As for everyone else, I felt like they were well written. This book is not going dive in characters, so for what was presented and the almost non-existent knowledge of the Zenescope universe that I have, I was pretty pleased. I think my only gripe with this issue was how Cindy's new enemies emerged. We're not really shown where the fuck they came from. They just magically appear. 

The art in this book continues to be one of the main driving forces. Everything is near perfect: from the line work, the coloring, the character design. Everything. Although the coloring duties shifted throughout the issue, nothing was ever lost in translation. Granted, the changes are noticeable, but the quality is still there and in full effect.

It all boils down to a few things: is this book for everyone? Absolutely not. Does it have engaging characters and an amazingly driven story? Hardly. This is strictly for the lovers of gratuitous violence and witty dialogue. From ramming into someone on a treadmill, to slitting throats, and even to slicing people in half, this book had just the right amount of gore to satisfy my insatiable desire for violence. And hey, this book ain’t bad on the eyes either!

This book continues to be fun to read and look at. I shall dare to say it, but fans of Deadpool and Harley Quinn should definitely give this book a whirl.
