Why am I still watching this crap? Can someone please try to explain to me why I can’t get myself away from this? There’s absolutely nothing going on. There have been hints of story, but it is always sidelined by the next episode. You know what? Now that I’m thinking about it, ClassicaLoid reminds me a lot of Dimension W, and we all know how that faired out.
This episode is pure comedy. I’m not going to deny it, it was fucking funny. Schubert is taking a bath and singing along to one of his pieces. He gets caught up in the thought of his “notice me, senpai” complex with Beethoven that his Musik turns him into a fish. Yes, the whole episode deals with him being a fucking fish and having to try to escape from the attempts of everyone, including the mysterious bird, from eating him. By the end of the episode, Schubert has turned everyone into a fish and it’s hilarious.
Other than that, there is not a goddamn thing that helps progress the story. Is this really supposed to be episodic and in the veins of Gintama? If it is, it’s not doing a good job. At least with Gintama, we knew what we were supposed to be getting. Here, we’re 13 episodes in and have very little to lead on. Kanae’s dad is the creator of the ClassicaLoids. Bach is actually turning out to be a good guy, though that has ultimately yet to be seen. Bach’s assistant, however, well, I think she’s the true antagonist. THAT IS IT.
On the plus, as it always is, the animation is awesome. Visually, each episode is a treat to watch. It’s so wacky and suits the anime perfectly.
I know I’ll stick around until the very end. I’ve already made it half way through and there’s no way I’m backing out now. In hindsight, I probably should have added this to the Worst of 2016 based on all the frustration this shit causes.
