Review: Ehmm Theory – Everything and Small Doses #2

The only thing better than Mr. Whispers is two Mr. Whispers. If there were three I think my mind would explode from insane cuteness (which is very rare btw). We get our Whispers who is sweet, funny, and surprisingly smart about cult films. And then we get the other dimension Whispers who is again funny, loves lollipops, and would blast your head off in a second. I just can’t decide who I like better. Ehmm_Theory_V2_2 PROOF-1So yeah if you haven’t been keeping up-to-date with Ehmm Theory then where the hell have you been? This is shit is crazy and makes me want to curse more. We have two stories going on simultaneously. Our first story, probably the slower of the two but the more emotionally invested, is Gabe and his father, Aaron. These guys are camping out after just meeting each other. Tym and Alyona, a team who helped Gabe find his father, are with them as well. For the past two issues, we have a seen less action from the site but instead more backstory and bonding between father and son. I have enjoyed this part of the comic because Aaron’s story is completely new with lots of twist and characters that will eventually turn up. This issue he tells us mostly of the tragic event that took place while passing through portals. It shows motivation into Dominika but like any villain, I think there is more to it.

The layered story revolves around our other Gabe and Whispers who just successfully rescued Mindwolf. Mister Everything is after them. This Mister is one mean monkey with superpowers, and I wouldn’t mess with this dude. This is the more exciting story of the two because of the characters. Gabe and Whispers are a mix of soldiers, looters, and badasses, so you really just want to be their best friend.

Clearly this comic is on the right track, because I have yet to hear of someone disliking this comic. It says a lot about this creative team and what they bring to the table. For me, I think they bring what the fans what, some violence, some crudeness, some action, but mostly a progressive plot with fun characters.
