Screwing The Little Guy: Comixology Is Selling 100 Submit Books For $10 Bucks

I actually don't think this is a good thing. There's a couple of problems with this and the first is that if you have too many digital comics at once you tend to forget about them and never read them so giving people 100 comics for $10 bucks is really just giving them ten they'll read and the rest just sitting on the cloud only to be associated with their account. The second problem is that the submit books are creator-owned meaning the creators are about to give their books away and not receive jack in return. Something about the 98% off the cover price doesn't sound awesome for creators trying to make a living off of selling their books. You can of course make the argument of exposure, but that isn't going to work for every series for the first reason I gave too many issues at once. I'm sure we'll never know how it turns out unless the creators of the books notice a jump in sales and tell the world. Update: After some feedback on Twitter I do realize that the headline is a bit much, but I still stand by the opinion that this isn't a good think for small publishers.
