Source Point Press is releasing a new horror graphic novel titled Made-Up: Zombie Clown Circus digitally this month, and in print this May.
Writer Mira Mortal and artist John “JAR” Rodriguez present this one-shot graphic novel that puts a fresh twist on zombie-horror and takes “wigging out” to a whole new level! A complete side-show of gore, suspense, hilarity, and circus pandemonium! Hours before show time, a toxic ingredient in a batch of white make up has turned circus clowns into flesh-hungry zombies! Join the band of survivors, who use their unique talents to battle the horde: A renowned pair of high-flying Trapeze Artists, a fierce and fearsome Bearded Lady, deadly knife-throwing Dwarf Twins, a family of Contortionists and more get in on the gory action as they try to get through the night – make up-free.
“This is a very fun new take on a zombie story, it’s an absolute blast,” says Source Point Press Art Director Joshua Werner. “Mira really utilizes the circus setting and characters to create unique situations, with some of the coolest kill scenes a horror fan has ever seen. John’s artwork is gorgeous, and is able to capture the heart of these characters and the horror of the scenarios.”
Editor-In-Chief Travis McIntire says “We’re excited to have Made-Up in the forefront of our 2017 horror releases. It’s available now on DriveThruComics.com, and will soon be on ComicBlitz and Comixology as well. We’ll be debuting the graphic novel in print at Motor City Comic Con this May.”
Source Point Press is a Detroit-based publisher of horror, supernatural, occult and pulp comics, novels, and art books. Founded in 2012 by Joshua Werner and Trico J. Lutkins, Source Point Press slowly paid their dues on the convention circuit, churning out titles. That hard work has begun to pay off as they find themselves as one of the fastest growing small press publishers in the industry!
