Thank God There's A Manga Adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo...
By Dustin Cabeal
I hate The Count of Monte Cristo. I just wanted to say that. I find it to be a lame ass story that offered no surprises, not even the one at the end. Why? Because it was fucking obvious. I hate all iterations of it and just because this one is in manga form and the woman's boobies are hanging out, doesn't mean I care.
Press Release
Seven Seas Entertainment is proud to announce their license of Moriyama Ena's The Count of Monte Cristo—a gorgeously-illustrated manga adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' classic tale of reverence and revenge.
Set in the time just before Napoleon’s return to power, this adventurous tale follows the trials and tribulations of Edmond Dantès. After being unjustly imprisoned on the day of his wedding, Edmond devises a plan that leads to his escape, a hoard of treasure, and a new identity: the Count of Monte Cristo. A tale of courage, vengeance, romance and betrayal!
Seven Seas will present The Count of Monte Cristo for the first time in print in North America as a single, deluxe trim edition. The Count of Monte Cristo will be released on December 19, 2017 for $14.99 USA / $16.99 CAN.
