Worst of 2016: No Angel
By Dustin Cabeal
As we always do, if there’s a best of list, there’s a worst of list and a dud is a dud no matter what month it released in. No Angel is probably the most recent title on this list, and so yeah, it might be a little unfair given the fact that it only has one issue out. But that one issue was so sigh-inducing that it couldn’t be ignored.
I’ve read comics that felt like movie pitches, but No Angel takes the cake because it doesn’t even remotely try to hide this. It practically casts the damn thing with its co-creator as the lead character. It took a tired concept and gave it it’s best Hollywood pitch… which is probably why it was passed on, it’s just not any good.
