In the middle of a collage lecture a student by the name of Ariel Carpenter sits and tries to focus. As her attention sways she looks for help from a nearby student. When that student turns around she realizes that they don’t have a face. Unfazed but this she then notices that her professor’s voice is coming from a massive red door that sits in the middle of the room and happens to lead to nowhere. Along with the lecture a young girl’s voice can be heard sobbing. This is more than enough to persuade Ariel to open the door and enter. Once she enters the door closes behind her. Now inside this corridor Ariel comes face to face with a young girl in tears and something else.

That’s really all that can be told about the story due to it being a bit short. Don’t get me wrong, that’s not a bad thing because it reads very fast and the book is clearly design for a digital presentation. That also is one of the strengths of the book. Add the cool character design in Ariel and the hook of a door that leads you to another realm or sorts.

The House in the Wall is off to a very good start and though it is a bit on the short side it does exactly what it needs to do by grabbing your interest. Not only has that it released fast enough to keep things moving, thus it always giving you something to look forward to every other Friday. Simply put The House in the Wall is worth your time.
