I will miss Double Take’s Remote the most out of all their titles. The now defunct line of comics that saw a shared universe told throughout ten series that all shipped at the same time had more than a few gems, but my personal favorite was Remote. The story started simple enough, but after two issues it became clear that the idea of a radio DJ surviving the night during the zombie apocalypse was nothing in comparison to what would come.
One of the things that would come and now unfortunately never be concluded, was our DJ going all giant size in front of a mostly alive audience. That aside, the humor and character development of the main character were some of the best of the year. It’s a damn shame that we won’t get to read any more of the Double Take titles, but a bigger shame for Remote in particular.
