Okay I don't even like to say the word "kickstarter" anymore because it floods my inbox, but this one got my damn attention. I read the preview they have on the project page and I was sold. I really want to read this. That and it has the Oxymorn artist on it so that's a plus. Press Release:
Red Stylo Media has launched a Kickstarter to fund the first issue of a new paranormal mystery mini-series, CROSSING. http://kck.st/1TZ2yx9
From the site: “CROSSING is a new series about a rookie train conductor, haunted by the ghost of an annoying goth princess who threw herself in front of his commuter train. She swears her death was a murder made to look like a suicide and she won’t ‘cross over’ and leave him alone until he helps solve her case. Paranormal couples counseling, anyone?”
CROSSING will be a six-issue mini-series, full color, to be published digitally and in print. Despite mature, heavy-hitting themes (crime, suicide, railroad safety) the series is a comedy about two people who wouldn't like each other under normal circumstances--much less paranormal--but have to find a way to work together if they ever want to be free of each other.
The CROSSING mini-series is by writer/creator, Enrica Jang (The House of Montresor), with art by Alex Cormack (Oxymoron, Future Proof) and Mark Mullaney (nominated for three Emmy awards for the educational series Drawing with Mark.) The Kickstarter campaign ends July 8th and is slated for release in October. The campaign also features 6 preview pages from Issue #1.
