Review: Dragon Age: Until We Sleep #1

Hey, would you look at that it’s that amazing Dark Horse comic based off of that amazing BioWare, Dragon Age: Until We Sleep! Well you know what that means? It’s going to be easy to pick up and awesome to read and you’re going to have tons of fun! I promise.

As the vessel glades our heroes over the sea, they make plans to run an all out assault against the blood mage Aurelian Titus’ fortress.  All in hopes of finding King Alistair’s father King Maric Theirin. Alistair Isabela and Sten, along with his Qunari Dreadnougths, have a plan to draw out the enemy soldiers from the fortress. By creating this distraction, it will make things easier for their partner Varric to locate King Merric behind enemy lines.

Once inside Verric stumbles across an old friend that happens to be a mage by the name of Maevaris. Soon Verric makes his way deeper into the lair only to find Merric hooked up to a device running thanks to blood magic.

See, now what did I tell you. I was a full blown hoot-nanny with all the fixings.  I’m serious. I really like this book and this has been one hell of a series. I could be crazy but this is the best that Chad Hardins art has looked. As for the masterful scribe that is David Gaider, well let’s just say he’s doing what he does best and telling an entreating story. He also continues to add such interesting little nuggets of back story about the characters and the universe that will make any DA fan smile. So if you still haven’t jumped on board this great series than shame on you. Now that’s over with, go and buy this book!
