Hot Damn is the spiritual successor to D4VE… or more accurately D4VE 2. The book is about hell… and it’s painful. Not hell, but the book. My god did the writer think he was god’s gift to comedy and try to pump a joke into every word bubble. There was so much dialogue to read I was afraid that someone hit their head while writing it and just kept going until they surpassed Chris Claremont’s record for word bubbles.
Did you ever see that Adult Swim show with cubicles in hell? Yeah, that’s all this is. Oh, you didn’t like that either? Well, then you’re not going to like Hot Damn. At least not the reading part, the art is great, but that only makes it tolerable for a minute. Hot Damn is so bad that it ruins D4VE for me.
