EC Comics Returns to Horror Romance with Tortured Hearts 2 in January

Oni Press and William M. Gaines Agent, Inc. have announced EC Tortured Hearts 2 #1, a 56-page horror-romance one-shot arriving January 27, 2027. The full-color issue is priced at $8.99.

The anthology brings together stories about love and relationships taking dangerous turns. Its announced writers include Michael W. Conrad, Melissa Flores, Sarah Gailey and Malachi Ward, with artists including Jenna Cha, Ryan Kelly and Sami Kivelä.

Dustin Weaver supplies the main cover, with Reiko Murakami drawing Cover B. The variant lineup includes a 1:10 EC homage cover by Shawn McManus, a 1:20 black-and-white artist edition by Weaver, and a 1:50 archive edition by Patricia Martín.

All five supplied covers are shown here. Tortured Hearts 2 continues Oni Press’s partnership with EC Comics, which began publishing new EC stories in 2024.
