Review: Clown Fatale #3

Okay, when you put a blonde bombshell on the cover of your comic wearing a hot to trot cowboy outfit with the tag line, Chloe by the numbers 35-24-35… .45 and she’s holding a .45 magnum! How can I not love this! Nine months ago in Texas, two crime bosses, an old classic cowboy by the name of Talbot and up and comer in Ortiz both sit and try to discuss the logistics of crime, drugs and territories. Safe to say they hit an impasse in negations.

Now you see the three hired clown assassins raiding Ortiz’s place leaving nothing but carnage in their wake. Meanwhile in the hospital the female member of The Siberian Death Squad comes to and she has nothing but revenge on her mind! Back Talbot estate, he receives word that the clowns did the job against his rival but they didn’t do a very “thorough job”. Now irate, Talbot sends some of his country boys to send a message to the girls.

Clown Fatale #3 Cover 1Back at the circus the girls try to come down from the rush of killing a house full of people. They each explore their own way to escape. Everything is fine until the first wave of clown detractors show up.

First off let me just say that the action is bountiful and the one-liners; which is something I love. There are a few times that I laughed out loud. One example is of a panel where a doctor is racked in the nards with a metal pole and he responses with, “Not my balls, I need them!” It may be a little immature but I found it fucking hilarious.  That’s just a small sample but if that’s your cup of tea then grab a mug because you will get your fill. Visually the art is great and the action is better. It flows beautifully and will make you smile as the girls dismantle…everything.

While there’s nothing entirety new narrative wise with Clown Fatale there is a lot of over the top graphic, balls-out fun that makes me grin and sometime that’s all you really need. Man I love these clowns.
