Review: Sheltered #10

Before I get into this review, let me just say first that you can trust the cover on this one, Sheltered #10 isn’t pretty.  If you haven’t heard, we only have 5 issues left of this series so it goes without saying things are starting to unfold at a pretty rapid rate. The issue opens up with views of Justin and Curt laying in pools of their own blood.  Are they dead?  It’s not too clear, but I’m hoping we won’t be seeing Curt again.  Cliff has fought tooth and nail to get back on the road to go home and reunite with his family, and he gets to the truck and floors it.  His wounds are pretty bad though as we see blood running from his torso all the way to the floor of the truck.

Sheltered10_Cover copy 2Meanwhile back at Safe Haven, there’s much confusion on both sides in regards to why Lucas is letting Vic and Hailey live.  Joey even accuses Lucas of murdering Chris.  He also knows that Tab was a witness and is telling everyone else the truth.  Victoria knows too and although she’s trying to convince people of Lucas’s evil, Lucas is convinced they won’t believe her since she’s still a newcomer compared to everyone else.  Lucas also says that he can’t kill Vic and Hailey because it would result in the group doubting him.  Joey still argues that they already doubt Lucas and Tab and Victoria are already spreading it throughout the group.

On the other side of the conflict, Mitch devises a plan to get Victoria, Tab, and Hailey out of Safe Haven.  He gives Victoria the cell phone he got off of the dead body he was getting rid of a few issues ago.  He tells her to call someone to pick her up once the phone gets signal-but he also asks her not to call the police or give away Safe Haven’s location.  Will they be able to escape?  Will Cliff make it home?  Is Curt finally dead like we all hoped he was going to be?
