Well there’s not much to say about the final issue of Age of Reptiles: Ancient Egyptians. Overall the series has been incredibly solid from beginning to end. The artwork has been the driving force of this all silent story. It’s safe to say that Ricardo Delgado’s work is beyond praise at this point. He’s masterful at his craft and there’s just no denying that. As for the issue itself, we continue to follow Scar. When last we left off he was coming face to face with the pissed off Brontosaurus looking dudes (forgive me for not actually knowing the dinosaur’s species). The leader that’s had it out for him from the beginning makes a fatal mistake and attempts to raze his nest. I don’t want to spoil this scene, but it’s a pretty spectacular sequence of action.

Sadly, this is a really short review because there’s just nothing left to say about it. The ending was fitting and frankly, pretty damn great. Scar did what he set out to do and I can’t be mad about that. Delgado delivered a very fitting look at dinosaurs in an Animal Kingdom way. He played it realistically and delivered a wordless comic book that had more heart and story than most comics on the market.
