I’ve never played the Ace Attorney games… I never will either. This show convinced me that I don’t need to play it, just like it convinced me that I don’t need to watch it. Is it for kids? Is it for fans of the game? Both? Is there an overlap? I don’t fucking know, but I hated this show.

Take every criminal procedural show on TV and dumb it down by 100… and now add in some elements from the game and call it a day, no, call it an anime. Aside from the terrible stories, there’s no logic used to presenting or developing the characters. The show just expects you to bring your own knowledge of the characters with you… which is lazy and bad storytelling. Don’t ever watch this. It made me actively hate this franchise.
