Worst of 2016: Bloodivores

More fucking vampires. “But Dustin, this one portrays it like the AIDS epidemic.” Oh, in that case, double fuck this show because how dare you not have the social awareness to see that comparing vampires to AIDS is not only insensitive but really ignorant; especially when you show the “vampires” losing control, attacking people and being rounded up by the government. Yeah… that’s not a terrible message to show people.

Bloodivores took a terrible idea of vampirism as AIDS and then made them fight monsters. The first episode was a total waste because its only purpose was to trap the characters in the premise. Now we’re all prisoners with guns! Oh, and if you’re a sexy woman, go ahead and keep your street clothes… men, wear these potato sacks and try not to stand out. Lord knows we’re not going to develop any of you past your stereotype. My last peeve with this show, if you’re going to have your characters rob a bank, don’t let them use their first names. It’s just bad writing… like the rest of this show.
