Much like Batman, I’m just lumping everything TMNT together and call it a day. I’m a huge TMNT fan, but this year I couldn’t stand anything that IDW did with the franchise. Not their main series which feels as if it’s completely lost its way. Not with its new series which seemed like a pointless second series and cash grab. Not even with the animated adaptation. Don’t even get me started on the two Batman crossovers. “TURTLES!?!”

Maybe the Turtles are just good for short bursts and nothing more. Maybe we’re just getting to a boiling over point with the franchise and need it to go away for a while and come back again as it used… before Eastman sold it to Viacom and they need Turtles constantly to help their sagging stock prices which mean they’ll never go away and only get worse.
