Review: Zombie Tramp #8

Okay you got me. I’m glad I read Zombie Tramp #8 if only for the ending and what it sets up. This volume started off interesting, but then with the rotating art duties and Janey basically getting out of every situation the same way it made it a bit dull.

Review: Joe Frankenstein #1

I was very surprised that I liked Joe Frankenstein #1. Just from the name it looked cheesy and hey part of it is, but its good cheese and it works. This book is literally for those people who always scream for simpler comics that they grew up reading, but the catch is that it works for modern readers as well.

Review: The Black Hood #1

I’ve said this before, but I don’t read a lot of super hero titles. There are certain companies though that when they approach the genre I’m interested. Dark Horse is one of those companies and Archie with their Dark Circle Comics is another.

Review: They're Not Like Us #3

It’s an interesting conceit, using the cover as the first page of the story. That’s probably the most noteworthy positive about this comic for me. Even after the first two issues left a bad impression, I went into this one thinking that perhaps something about the nature of this team would reveal itself and complicate things in an interesting manner.

Review: King: Prince Valiant #1

Well, this one baffles me and I don't really know what to do with it. That's why it gets the deuce instead of the tres. I was expecting a Prince Valiant interpreted for the post-Ming-pocalypse Puply-verse King Dynamite has masterfully established. That's not what I got.
