Not To Be Excluded IDW Sets Up Office In Portland
By Dustin Cabeal
I picture a small basement office, somewhere in the middle of the hallway with this sign on it and just two people working there. One of which will be working there until another publisher has an open position. I guess IDW didn't want to be the only non-corporate entity to not have a Portland office. Also, I see an increase in comic creators moving to Portland. Which could mean a resurgence of 90s comics... anyone? Anyone?
Sun Bakery Heads To Image...
By Dustin Cabeal
I don't know how I feel about this... I mean, hey, it's good for Corey Lewis and so I guess that's good. But fuck, it feels like a bigger publisher swooping in and gobbling up the smaller publishers big fish. Since I'm quoted on the list you know I was down with this book from the get go so it's hard for me not to still recommend it to you, but fuck... I don't feel good about it.

UDON Reveals Street Fighter VS. Darkstalkers Comic
By Dustin Cabeal
Hell yeah! I can only hope that the story is better than the last ongoing Street Fighter book because that was the only disappointing part of that series. I never worry about the art, just the story. Really, with this one, I would show up just for the art so who cares.

Spirited Away Could Be Coming To A Theater Near You!
By Robert Ramos
So...I'm probably going to get so much shit by people on this site and off, but I do not care for Hayao Miyazaki or any of the film's he's directed. Just never been a fan of the character designs or story concepts from his movies, regardless of the rich storytelling they may provide. Whatever. If you're a fan of either Miyazaki or Spirited Away, and if it's available in your area, you should definitely check this out! Dubbed to be shown on December 4 while subbed on December 5.
2000 AD To Reprint Boy Wizard Comic "The Journal of Luke Kirby"
Press Release
A series which trumped Harry Potter to the ‘young boy wizard’ trope by a number of years – but hasn’t been reprinted in its entirety before – is to be collected for the first time.
"The Power of the Dark Crystal" Coming From Si Spurrier
By Dustin Cabeal
Well... I like the creative team. Sorry if I have some reservations because it's BOOM! Sure we can lie and say it's Archaia still, but it's not and hasn't been for a while. Hence the single issues, the generic trades and all that stuff that Archaia didn't do, but probably should have. Anyway, the creative team is interesting and for that reason I'll check it out.
Weekly Shonen Jump Manga Magazine Launches On Google Play
By Dustin Cabeal
Wow, this is a long time due. I'm new to android so I didn't even realize that Viz hadn't invaded the platform. Get your Jump on android people.
Scooter Girl Gets Colored and Printed At Image
By Dustin Cabeal
Having already read and bought Scooter Girl, it's highly unlikely that I'll pick this up, even if it's colored. But, if you've never read Scooter Girl this is a great opportunity to do so.
Loose Ends Might Finally Finish
By Dustin Cabeal
Let me give some background info on this project before you get all excited about the names attached to it. This series is old, but it never finished. Seriously, the first three issues released in 2011 and basically launched the careers of Jason Latour and Chris Brunner. But they never finished the fucking thing. They did three out of the four issues at 12 Gauge Comics and then blew up and worked on other shit, mostly for the big two.
Rat Queens, Set To Return Again
By Dustin Cabeal
Listen, I, like a lot of people, really enjoy Rat Queens. Writer/Creator Kurtis Weibe was thrown a major curve ball and unfortunately the series has never been consistent since. It's unfortunately, but it's off and on with new artists so damn often that I don't even know what to think anymore. Maybe it'll work out with Owen Gieni, let's hope.
Pokémon Cookbook Coming From Viz
By Dustin Cabeal
There are a lot of random cookbooks this year. I recently looked over two for review, but couldn't muster anything to say about them. But a Pokemon cook book... I already have plenty to say.
Kirkman Celebrates Image's 25th B-Day With $0.25 Issues
By Dustin Cabeal
Yesterday we were all excited about Oni's $1 issues and cheaper trades. Today, Kirkman's practically telling you to steal his comic. Just wait a week and go into your comic shop and as them for a left over copy, then it's free! Too bad none of the other Image peeps are celebrating this way... kind makes it look like Kirkman is the only one to care about the Publisher turning 25. I can't wait until they're 28, married, thinking about kids... maybe they'll get a dog first.
"4 Kids Walk Into A Bank"#3 stops to do some charity work before hitting comic shops!
Press Release
The annoyingly delayed third issue of 4 KIDS WALK INTO A BANK will hit comic shop shelves on December 21st, but a few folks will have the chance to get it a bit early. The 4 KIDS WALK INTO A BANK team are continuing their tradition of trying to raise money for charity and having books with a lot of different covers.
Meet The New Green Lantern of 2814... It's an Ape!
By Dustin Cabeal
What. The. Fuck.
I laughed so fucking hard when I saw this cover. I mean, my god, it is terrible. Why is it in all of these Green "Lets Kill This Brand Again" Lantern crossovers, everyone gets a fucking ring? Why? Doesn't the defeat the purpose? Remember when it was a big fucking deal for someone to get a ring (at least on Earth, no one cares about other planets)? Now there's a dozen Lanterns on Earth alone and fucking apes are getting rings. Bollacks to this crossover. Just like the shitty Star Trek one, I ain't reading it. If that monkey doesn't make a banana construct I call bullshit on this entire story!
