I think now that Chew is over everyone's going to be a little more interested in what John Layman is up to, but I'll admit that I didn't see him doing a series with Sam Kieth as one of his next projects. There's a quote from Layman about their new series Eleanor & The Egret, and it sounds crazy, but the type of crazy that makes you want to pick it up first thing on April 5th.

Yeah I'm still not big on this idea. I mean the covers are fun and all, but it seems hypocritical for a publisher that's denounced the practice of variant covers to then celebrate it's anniversary with variant covers. I gave this franchise a chance with the anime, but gave up on the second season. It's all fan service. Any inkling of the story was suffocated by boobs. With this new series being a spin-off, I wonder if it could be better or if it would just find another area of the female body to get lost in. Find out in September!
