Trailer Time: In This Corner of the World
By Dustin Cabeal
Well apparently I'll be seeing an early preview of this film so when the trailer came to my inbox it was kind of a no-brainer to post on the site. In my early days of Comic Bastards, I would have already been on top of this in some attempt to add to the anime content on the site, but I'm tired and older now and realize that there's no beating or competing with the big sites when you're just one dude. But hey, you get to hear about this on the podcast and in a written review so soak it all in people.

Unboxing: Loot Anime – May 2017
By Dustin Cabeal
This is probably the best Loot Anime... possibly ever. It's legit the first time I haven't wanted to either give away an item or throw away an item. There is one item I'm going to give away, but only because I know the person would appreciate it far more than me. Otherwise, I would totally keep it and use it. I really hope they keep this trend because this is worth the money.

Unboxing: Loot Crate - May 2017
By Dustin Cabeal
Listen... It's been a while since I've recorded this. I don't even remember what was in the damn thing because I was fighting the flu... still am apparently. That's all I got... because this box wasn't very good and all but one item went to my brother-in-law and his family.

Trailer Time: Titan Comics' Robotech #1
Not just another retelling of the Macross saga ...
In July, the story continues as we bring Carl Macek's original vision full circle. Taking into account every iteration of the series, this new Robotech #1 casts a fresh eye over classic characters like Rick Hunter, Lisa Hayes, Lynn Minmei, Roy Fokker, Claudia Grant, and Henry Gloval. Brian Wood and Marco Turini take us back to a Macross Island where *nothing* can be taken for granted.

Trailer Time: Secret Weapons #1 from Valiant Comics

If you want a great review for this new event series from Valiant then you should check out Levi's review for the first issue. Spoiler free and right on the nose.

Welcome To Planet Fuck You - Game Trailer for Tormentor X Punisher
By Dustin Cabeal
You had me at Welcome to Planet Fuck You. Read the details below, I'm not going to sell you on this because it speaks for itself.

Starz Releases American Gods Clip
Czernobog – played by the infamous Peter Stormare – is a Slavic god of darkness and evil. He is reluctant to join the coming war and wary of Wednesday’s motivations. In this clip with Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) and Mr. Wednesday(Ian McShane), Czernobog makes a little wager with Shadow Moon over a game of Chess.

Unboxing: Loot Crate - April 2017
By Dustin Cabeal
Whoo! Here's the last video of the day. Hopefully, you checked out the last two Star Wars Builders videos ( Starfighters and Millennium Falcon ) and also this month's Loot Anime unboxing. This month's Loot Crate had some junk. I wish I could say that nicer, but the X-Files tie-in was garbage and I've yet to meet anyone that genuinely like Jessica Jones or cared to own anything from the show. Even the Stranger Things tie-in was kind of meh. Really you could have called this box a Netflix and friends box, but whatever. There is one Batman related item that was fan-fucking-tastic.

Unboxing: Loot Anime - April 2017
By Dustin Cabeal
Are you tired of videos yet? I hope not because I'm still making them. Thankfully I got both Loot Anime and Loot Crate on the same day so I was able to pump out both and will hopefully be done with video reviews for a hot minute. This month's Loot Anime wasn't bad actually, some really impractical things like a pencil that you need a knife to sharpen. Ah, you'll see, but it was pretty good. Still not sure why the "Anime" box continues to give me "Manga", but that's the breaks or something.

Review: Star Wars Builders - Millennium Falcon
By Dustin Cabeal
We've arrived at the end of our video review series for Star Wars Builders, the final book is Millennium Falcon. That's right, I'm building the Millennium Falcon. Be sure to check out Droids and Starfighters.

Review: Star Wars Builders - Starfighters
By Dustin Cabeal
Continuing my video reviews for the Star Wars Builders, this time I tackle the Starfighters book which has an X-Wing and Tie Fighter inside. The review will tell you everything else you need to know and be sure to check out my other review Droids and look for my last review in the series Millennium Falcon.

Trailer Time: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure... It's Everything You'd Expect and More
By Dustin Cabeal
I don't even know what to say... it was like watching Diamond is Unbreakable, only with real people. I only wish that JoJo #1 was a bit more ripped diesel, but he pulled the rest of the look off perfectly. No idea what anyone is saying though, I didn't bother with YouTube's weird "let's try closed caption and get it wrong!" setting, but I imagine it's just like the show.

History of Stuff Presents History of Comic Books
By Dustin Cabeal
Our good friend and one-time reviewer of the site Carl is back with his YouTube series called "History of Stuff." He takes a look at things like Pizza, Comic Books, and Toliet Paper... yes, Toilet Paper. Granted Carl is my friend so I'm going to be a bit biased when viewing anything he does, but then I also manage to fairly evaluated comics of past writers all the time. My point, this is good TV so give it a view, a share and a like.

Review: Star Wars Builders - Droids
By Dustin Cabeal
Star Wars Builders - Droids continues my new video review features. This time I dabble in front of the camera... it's also the last time since I hated how I look. Damn action cameras. Anyway, this is a builder set in which you use glossy cardboard pieces to make different droids from the Star Wars universe. The video has a time lapse, an intro and my thoughts afterward so I'll let it do the rest of the work. Up next will be Starfighters and lastly The Millennium Falcon. Thanks for watching!

Review: Spider Man 1,000 Dot-to-Dot Book
By Dustin Cabeal
Unlike my regular reviews, I've decided to do this one as a video since it's the best way to cover something like a dot-to-dot aka, heavy on the visuals. After introducing the book, I tried out a time lapse video, and I will fully admit that you stare at the back of my head for far too much of it in the beginning. I underestimated the camera placement and just how on top of the paper I would need to be to see the small numbers. It gets better about half way through and don't worry it's not that long. The ending is just a reveal of the page I completed and my final thoughts on the product. I'm not going to score it because it seems silly when this is really a product you'll be interested in or you won't.

Dark Horse Celebrates 4/20 With Craig Yoe's Reefer Madness
Today we celebrate marijuana with smoke rings puffing and pluming across the nation. Now that eight states have legalized it for recreational use and twenty-eight for medical use, it is especially fun to relive the hysteria surrounding marijuana as a perceived gateway drug from the 1930s to the 1950s and beyond. And now you can do so in the comfort of your home with Reefer Madness from Dark Horse Books.

Unboxing: Loot Wear - March 2017
By Dustin Cabeal
Oh, hey I'm kinda on time for Loot Wear this month! Listen, this is the one to get, but they changed everything. I'm not even sure what will be showing up next month, but if you're going to do a Loot subscription, pick one of the wear options, or both if you've got mad fucking money. I'm wearing one of the shirts right now, it's alright... not great, but it's alright. Also, the first pair of socks I cover didn't fit. They didn't stretch enough to make it past my normal size ankle which was weird, they might have been for women, but now I'll never know since the bag is in the trash, always read the trash!

Review: Clear Boards - Slab Pro
By Dustin Cabeal
I'm trying some more video reviews for products that are best described with visuals. The clear board is a product for comic collectors that want to see all sides of the comic, which is particularly great with the resell market since you don't have to open the bag to look at the full book. Anyway, the video will do the rest of the work, but I thought it was a product worth talking about. Thanks for watching!

Review: Dominion of Giants - Adult Coloring Book
By Dustin Cabeal
I'm trying something new today, here's a review for Dominion of Giants, which is a fantasy coloring book for adults. Now, it's not "adult" themed which is probably what you're thinking, but more in line with crazy of coloring books for mature people. The video will cover the review so check it out.
