Viz Media Announces More Sailor Moon R: The Movie Screenings
By Dustin Cabeal
Ah yeah. They added L.A. Looks like I'll be going just to say that I went. Nah, I actually really want to see a Sailor Moon movie in the theater for some reason and I'm curious as to what the crowd will look like. Half movie watching, half people watching.

Review: Sausage Party
By Dustin Cabeal
As a stay at home dad, watching movies has become a luxury to me. The simple fact is that 2016 saw the least amount of movies I’ve watched in a year. That blew my mind until I went through a list of all the releases and saw the amount of utter garbage that was released. Recently though I saw a couple of CG movies that I had wanted to see and Sausage Party was on the top of that list.

Best of 2016: The Entire List
By Dustin Cabeal
In past years we had individual categories with different picks, but this year the list fell to me to complete. I tried something different by spotlighting each pick on the "best and worst of" list and personally I liked it. Sure, some of you on Facebook didn't care for it plugging up your feed, but that's the breaks. The ideal format, of course, is viewing it on the site and not social media. I had planned all along to compile the entire list at the end of it's run, and hopefully, some people appreciated the sheer amount of work that went into our list. Sure, not every entry was in-depth, but when has that ever been the goal of a list? Here it is, though, the list and links to everything that was great in Comics, Manga, Anime and Movies from the year 2016.

Worst of 2016: The Entire List
By Dustin Cabeal
Surprisingly the "Worst of 2016" was way more popular than the "Best of 2016" which is too bad since I'd much rather that list get the focus. That said, I have a bunch of unpopular choices on this list, but I'm not going to offer an apology. They earned their way on this list. If you disagree, that's okay. I'm all for that. I'm sure my favorite books ended up on someone's worst of list, and that's they way it goes because comics are subjective like all creative mediums. The point I'm getting at is, don't bother telling me I'm wrong because I'm not here to tell you you're wrong. This is my worst of 2016 list, and while it's not as in-depth as some people would like it, the majority of these have been covered on the site and the podcast before showing up on this list. If you want to leave a comment, go for it, but do it on the original post. We'll see you in the next year and at the end of 2017 with another worst of list.

Quick! Name One Publisher You'd Want To See Get The John Wick Comic License
By Dustin Cabeal
I hope you said Dynamite... because it's Dynamite. I know, I know... IDW was a close second. I wish one of my "Worst of 2016" articles were posted already because I would be linking to it right about now. I have zero interest in checking this out and will avoid it upon its release. I feel for whatever creators get attached to it. Also, I love the fact half of the below press release reads like a film review written by the studio.

Find Your Theater For Sailor Moon R: The Movie
By Dustin Cabeal
I think we talked about this on the last episode of Super S... it could have been off air. Either way, we're here talking about it now, and I know one co-host that is going to be checking this list asap. Though I can tell her that her city made the list! Mine didn't... at least not a normal showing, some B.S. with the cast that I don't give a crap about. Oh and it's the only good thing to happen to America on the 20th of next month so... yeah, maybe see it twice to numb the pain.

Live Action Tokyo Ghoul Reveals First Image
By Dustin Cabeal
I have seen cosplay masks way better than that mask. Hell, I’ve seen bad cosplay better than that mask. Double hell, I have seen masks for sale that are better than the one shown on that poster. All of this is to say that I’m not very excited about Tokyo Ghoul getting a live action adaptation.

Hulk Continues To Make Everything Great
In case you missed it, Vin Diesel, who voices Groot in Guardians Of The Galaxy, recently suggested that Marvel's two greatest green heroes will be facing off in the relatively near future. Specifically, Slashfilm quoted Diesel as saying "you are going to see Groot and Hulk battle." Presumably this will happen in Infinity War, and Diesel seems pretty sure about himself, even going so far as to add, "you are going to see that poster: Hulk vs. Groot."

Review: Doctor Strange
By Dustin Cabeal
Finally finding the time to see Doctor Strange I felt the overwhelming need to review the film. I’ve had an interest in this film since its announcement and casting because A) I like Benedict Cumberbatch and B) I wanted to see who Marvel would handle an unknown character in their cinema universe.

IDW Announces Highlander Prequel Comic
By Dustin Cabeal
If you've listened to the CBMFP over the years you may have picked up on the fact that I'm a big Highlander fan. Aside from watching all of the movies, and I do mean all of the movies, I also watched that really shitty cartoon they did... also an animated movie. Maybe those are the same thing, if they're not I've seen them both! Point is, I should be a little excited by this because I've willing sat through a lot of bad Highlander shit, is a comic cashing in on that really that bad? But it's IDW... which kills any excitement, but even worse than that they're calling it a prequel to the movie which is just stupid.

Unboxing: Loot Wear – October 2016
By Dustin Cabeal
Yes, it is November, but I just got this. I'm assuming the underwear delayed the roll out. That's right, Loot Crate/Wear is making undies now! Hell, they even have a separate subscription to get just the underwear or just the socks! I recommend the socks. I'm wearing the underwear right now, and they're all right, but if you just need generic nerd underwear, you can get that at Target. These are dryfit... I guess that makes them better. That means there's no pee hole! The matching socks were for women by the way... make that shit unisex already dammit! They dropped the ball on the horror them and their weird choices in shirt styles. Who the fuck is going to wear that Alien shirt? No one, you'll look like an asshole in PJ's. I'm looking forward to next month because you know they're going to shit the bed on Christmas.

Review: Wolf Cop vol. 1 Hog Wild #1
By Dustin Cabeal
I liked the trailer for Wolf Cop, but I couldn’t finish the film. Why bother trying the comic right? Well, because maybe it’s an idea that works better as a comic? Part of that is true as the special effects have been replaced by the art from Arcana Studios. It’s just the writing that kills this story.

Unboxing: Loot Crate – October 2016
I completely forgot about Halloween just before opening this "crate" and so I was a little surprised at first by the theme. I should have known, but there were other things on my mind. That said, this theme should have been awesome and instead took the crown for the worst Loot Crate I have ever gotten. You'll have to watch for yourself and see how they shit the bed while using some of horror's biggest brands.

Trailer Time: My Two Dads with Logan, Xavier and X-23
By Dustin Cabeal
First off, the only difference between the regular trailer and the red band trailer is one scene. The scene that's acting as the still image above. Claws through the head... now you're dead.
This trailer is okay. Clearly they're going for Old Man Logan without the rest of the Marvel Universe and staying in the confines of the licenses that Fox has.

You've Got A Second Chance To See Shin Godzilla
By Dustin Cabeal
If my rave review didn't convince you that should see hin Godzilla, then I don't know what will. The good news for everyone that didn't get to see it, is that due to how well it's doing and how much people are loving it, it's getting more theater dates, including a Saturday! Yeah, I had to see it late on a Thursday, so enjoy that. It's running until October 27th now and if you need to find a theater playing it (you do) then click this link to head over to Funimation's site (Here).
