Review: Out of Nothing
By Dustin Cabeal
Out of the titles from Nobrow that I’ve read I’ve enjoyed them. That’s typically the case I find when I dig into a new publisher, but there’s an inevitable wall that’s hit. Not everything can be fantastic and amazing. There are going to be stories that don’t hit with readers and reviewers, and for me, that story is Out of Nothing.

Review: Geis vol. 2 – A Game Without Rules

Having enjoyed the first volume of Geis, pronounced “Gesh,” I was looking forward to this second volume. The incredible thing that creator Alexis Deacon has done with this story is created a layered world, filled with unique and relatable characters. It’s also full of magic and mystery which in why the first volume stood out so much.

Noah isn't sure if he wants to be there, but it's too late to turn back. Tony is heartbroken at the thought of giving up his phone and internet. And Kate... well, she likes the hikes, at least. As far as these four teens are concerned, it's just another boring summer. Until one night, when Jesse and Noah witness a beloved counselor's murder. The body's gone by the next morning, but a blurry photo leads to one clue—the murderer is one of the camp's staff members!

Review: Zen Pencils - Creative Struggle
By Dustin Cabeal
There is no better way to describe Creative Struggle than to use the tagline. If I did that though, this would be an incredibly short review. Creative Struggle is a book of illustrations that take quotes, biographies, interviews and anything else that a famous creative person may have said and put them together.

Review: Isabellae vol. 1 – The Night Man
By Dustin Cabeal
I have always been a sucker for samurai stories. As the years have gone on, I tend to stick with the ones coming straight out of Japan, but I still check out a variety of other tales told by creators that like myself, enjoy a good samurai story. It’s just that it’s rare that they’re enjoyable or not filled with Wikipedia notes and definitions.
