Review: Manifest Destiny #35
By Garrett Hanneken
If you’ve been following Manifest Destiny since the beginning, then you may have noticed that the current arc has changed gears. Instead of focusing on imaginary creatures the series sheds light on the monstrous side of humanity. With one more issue left in the arc, we can assess if this change was beneficial or not.
Review: Suicide Squad #42
By Cat Wyatt
Suicide Squad #42 continues the Constriction plot started in the previous issue. Deadshot’s daughter has been kidnapped by Kobra, and Batman is the only one that seems willing to stick his neck out and help the man go out and rescue her. It’s a bit more complicated than that, but isn’t it always?
Review: Rugrats #8
By Hunter T. Patrick
Those dumb babies. Rugrats #8 is a comic that continues to feature independent stories in each issue, resembling the classic cartoon series. This issue has a plot about Angelica wanting money for a Cynthia video game. To make the money she uses Phil and Lil’s abilities to make the grossest, ickiest mud pies around to sell for the pretty high price of a quarter. Angelica just wants all the quarters while the twins just want the highest quality of mud possible for their pies. Chaos ensues. This is indeed classic Rugrats.
Review: TMNT Urban Legends #1
By Sam King
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics have been going around since 1984. This is where the team got its start. TMNT: Urban Legends takes readers back to the days of Volume 3 when Image ran the show, and Eastman and Laird weren’t writing the comics. These were eventually considered “non-canon” and were never fully concluded. This is officially changing now, with a reprint, added color, and an eventual addition of three new issues to finish the series.
Review: Wonder Woman #47
By Cat Wyatt
Wonder Woman #47 continues the Dark Gods plot that was started in the last issue. Last we saw Super Girl had gone crazy and started attacking Diana. She isn’t the first supernatural person to go off the wall this plot, but hopefully, she’ll be the last.
Review: Lumberjanes #50
By Cat Wyatt
It’s not every day a comic gets to hit the big five-oh, but that’s exactly what the Lumberjanes have done. Here our crew is back for issue #50, and fans couldn’t be happier about it. The last we saw of this curious cabin they were stuck inside thanks to the weather, and we all know how quickly these kids can get into trouble when left to their own devices.
Review: Shadowman #3
By Damien Becton
I became a fan of Andy Diggle when he was able to take over Marvel Comics’ Daredevil (which eventually ended up in the event known as Shadowland) back in 2009. And even though Shadowland was not the most well-received Marvel event that has taken place, it holds a special place in my heart and serves as one of my favorite events. Because of this, every book I see with Andy Diggle attached finds its’ way at one point or another on my pull list. With Andy Diggle now on Valiant’s Shadowman, I was sure that this book would make its’ way onto my pull list. Three issues into this relaunch of the Valiant superhero, I’m glad to say that this book not only found its’ way onto my pull but also that it is a mainstay.
Review: Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #45
By Cat Wyatt
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #45 continues the "Darkstar Rising" plot that’s been running for the last few issues, and man has it been an intense run. With the Darkstars going after every ranking criminal with lethal force, the Green Lanterns have found themselves desperately seeking ways to stop them.
Review: Her Infernal Descent #2
By Noel Thorne
We’re in Hell in more ways than one in Her Infernal Exposition #2 – this comic is damned stinky!
Boring Lynn has rocked up to Hell’s Entrance with William Blake acting as her Virgil as she prepares to descend the myriad circles to find her family. Zzz…
Review: Vampironica #2
By Hunter T. Patrick
Archie horror is an imprint that is known for some of the highest quality in comics… believe it or not. Jughead: The Hunger is a cool concept, and the execution leaves some to be desired. Does Vampironica live up to the other two Archie titles? Nearly impossible not. Does it deserve to be in Archie Horror? Absolutely. Vampironica has been such a strong title thus far in art, plotting, writing, and fun. The thing that most makes it belong to Archie horror is the delays, which will be minor compared to the other titles (Jughead: The Hunger wins in being on schedule). Archie Horror has some of, if not the best horror comics I have ever read, and Vampironica is on there.
Review: Motherlands #5
By Cat Wyatt
Motherlands is one of those series that really knows how to rip out your heart and stomp on it. Every time you think you’ve got the series figured out, and that you’ve seen the worst it has to offer, it throws another curveball at you. Motherlands #5 is no exception to this rule, so be prepared. The last issue left us off with Tabitha finally successfully tracking down Bubba, only to find him grieving over his dead father.
Review: Delta 13 #1
By Damien Becton
Delta 13 appears to be a science-fiction horror/suspense story along the same lines of Alien and Prometheus and based off of that alone; I was on board coming into the issue - assuming that it would be executed well. The inaugural issue of the story does a decent enough job setting up the plot, establishing how the characters interact with each other, and constituting the tone that will encompass the story but for the first issue of a new book, I feel that it could have done a better job grabbing and holding the reader's’ attention. The entire book felt as if it were the first ten minutes of a movie that you have seen over and over.

Review: Deadpool 2
By Hunter T. Patrick
The biggest question asked is how this movie compares to the first. The first Deadpool was phenomenal and was a thing of beauty of the cinematography and wonderful directing. From the opening moments of Deadpool 2 did I feel this isn’t better, but worse. That thought did not last long as after a few minutes in full of jokes and typical Deadpool fun did the movie take a huge turn right before the opening credits. The first Deadpool lacked something I felt that defines the character, and after that scene in Deadpool 2, I knew they cracked what makes Deadpool Deadpool. Deadpool 1 is a phenomenal movie, but in comparison, Deadpool 2 is a phenomenal Deadpool movie. Deadpool 1 is better, but Deadpool 2 is better for the character and that makes it special.
Review: Walt Disney Treasury of Classic Tales vol. 3
By Sam King
This is the third volume collecting comic strips based on Walt Disney films. This is also the first volume of the collection that I’ve read. The volume concentrates on comics that ran during the 1950's and 1960's, so it features stories that are not as familiar to modern audiences as those done during the “Disney Renaissance.” Instead, this volume pulls together 101 Dalmatians, Swiss Family Robinson, Darby O’Gill and the Little People, and several others that are less recognizable to the average Disney fan.

I picked up Transdimensional having no prior knowledge of the subject. Not even the Kickstarter description. If I had, I probably would have skipped it. I am probably one of five comics fans that don't get into sci-fi horror. The Kickstarter describes the comic as being a sci-fi horror in the same family as Alien and The Abyss. I’ve seen Alien maybe (just the one - sad face from you probably), not The Abyss. I wasn’t the proper audience for this comic. However, if I was into this type of story, I could see its appeal.
