Review: DARLING In the FRANXX E.05
By Erika Suarez
After a momentous and elevating battle with Strelizia, Hiro regains his position as stamen after his successful battle. He's cheery and content, but his life is hanging by a loose thread as he keeps a secret that is eating him away. The tension grows when Zero Two moves in with Plantation 13 and making Ichigo feel uneasy about the change and results in torn heartache.

Review: DARLING in the FRANXX E.04

Episode 4 finally picks up the pace with an accelerating and showy performance. After Zero-two is ordered to save Ichigo’s team once again, Hiro joins her while they rebel against all orders from the APE team.
Review: DARLING in the FRANXX- E.03
By Erika Suarez
Things become awkward between Hiro and Ichigo after the mock battle, and she loses focus during a mission fighting against lower class Klaxosaurs with her team. The parasites get outnumbered by their enemies and Hiro is put in a frustrating position when the APE staff refuses to let him pilot Sterlizia. Mitsuru confidently steps in to prove himself higher than Hiro by riding Strelizia, and his heedless behavior nearly gets him killed.
Review: DARLING in the FRANXX E.01

The beautiful animation and escalating action was a lot to take in for this premiere. Studio Trigger (Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia) and A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail) presents you with a new mecha series that enthralls us in a captivating story about children who are put into pairs of opposite sex to pilot robots named Franxx and are used in missions to fight off mechanical enemies. The children are downgraded by this life they live, but it's the only way to prove their existence and be valued in the unknown wasteland they reside in.

Review: Blend S
By Dustin Cabeal
I was surprised to see a meme based on the opening of Blend S. I suppose that shows how mainstream anime has become. Too bad the meme sucked! I’ve yet to see one that made me laugh and even worse, I couldn’t think up a joke that would make the meme funny. All that aside, Blend S was one of the best anime of 2017. It came close to making my Top 5 list, and if I had done an expanded version, it would definitely be on there.

Review: Interviews with Monster Girls – Season 1
By Dustin Cabeal
Interviews with Monster Girls is part interesting, part average harem style comedy taking place in high school. It teeters this fine line throughout the series in which it never overly commits one way or the other which is unfortunate.

Review: Saekano: How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend – Flat (Season 2)
By Dustin Cabeal
The problem with a lot of anime, especially of the harem variety, is that they’re great for six episodes and then not so much. That was true of the first season of How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend which started with a solid introduction to the characters and the premises and then sat on its ass for the last six. With the second season, it was in reverse, sitting on its ass in the beginning and then cranking out the story at the end.

Review: Saekano: How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend S2 E.00-01
By Dustin Cabeal
The first season of Saekano was very enjoyable up until the Cousin character was added. After that, it just became a dense man surrounded by beautiful women and not fighting off their advances, but just playing dead and each of them taking turns trying to pounce him while the others fought each other. It ceased being enjoyable at that point, but I finished the season hoping that they would lay the groundwork for something more. That something more was just that “hey, we haven’t made that game yet… so we’re going to keep doing that.”
