Review: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #22
By Cat Wyatt
Batgirl and the Birds of Prey issue #22 brings about the conclusion to the Full Circle plot it’s been running. When we last saw our heroes, Canary had finally (and very successfully) taken out Burnrate, as well as maybe hitting her allies (side note; Catwoman and Ivy both joined this fight as well), during which time Helena had been kidnapped by Calculator and his people.

Review: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #21
By Cat Wyatt
Things have been changing for the Birds of Prey ever since the Calculator upped the ante on his hunt for them. First, they lost Gus (poor Gus), immediately followed by some of their trust in Barbara. Then Huntresses mom got broken out of Arkham, and the Canary is still afraid to use her cry. Combine all of that with the mess they’re still dealing with (the Calculator is still determined to hunt down the Oracle, and they’re some of the last known connections to her) and you’ve got an overwhelming set of circumstances for our heroines.

Review: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #20
By Cat Wyatt
Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #20 starts out on a more somber tone than is usual, but considering the events that occurred in the last issue, this isn’t terribly surprising. When we last saw our heroine trio they had suffered a great loss – somebody they all considered to be their friend ended up dying because of their actions (okay, well more specifically because of Batgirl’s actions). Their grief is palpable, even if they chose to process it in different ways.

Review: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #19
By Cat Wyatt
Issue number 19 is the start of a new Batgirl heavy plot; Full Circle. This plot is building off of one started earlier, involving Calculator and his business (you know, the one where he helps criminals plan their heists by getting over blueprints and all the other relevant information?). The real question for this issue is whether or not Barbara can resist picking up the Oracle’s mantle again, and what would happen if she lets temptation win.

Review: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #18
By Cat Wyatt
Issue number 18 for Batgirl and the Birds of Prey is more a single issue story than the start of a new plot. This one happens to be titled Eco-Deadly (got to love the environmentally conscious points of this series). Joining Batgirl on this adventure (because Batgirl is obviously involved) are Black Canary and Huntress. Which is pretty standard, as the rest of the ladies tend to be pretty busy.
