Review: Freelance #3

By Cat Wyatt

Issue #3 of Freelance is back; with the team, we’ve been steadily learning about and growing fond of. Lance is the backbone of the team, he’s also the moral center, even if the rest of them may be less than willing to admit that bit. He’s also more or less the focus, being that he’s superhuman (literally) and capable of handling situations most humans wouldn’t survive. John is the ex-con bad boy, with a catch; he’s pretty sweet on Lance (feel free to ship that pairing). And finally, there’s Tasha, the techie and sassy one of the group. Together they take on missions, doing their best to keep the world safe.

Review: Freelance #2

Not really the team I’d picture to step up and protect humanity from some very real threats, but you can bet that nobody would complain about their helping.

Review: Fantomah #4

By Kelly Gaines

To begin honestly, I was drawn to the Fantomah title because I recognized the name from Jon Morris’  The League of Regrettable Superheroes. Regrettable superhero is not a nomenclature any writer wants attached to their character, but If you’ve been following The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, you’ll notice another “regrettable” character (Madame Satan) has made quite the come back in her modern incarnation. So with Madame Satan’s blessing, I was eager to see how her fellow regrettable was faring in her current title.
