After the conclusion of the last issue, when they sensed that the Empress was nearby, Rion and Tair know they don’t have much time left to prepare. If they’re ever going to have a chance at taking her out, they must do it soon. Of course, there’s a very good chance that she sensed them at the same time, and thus their attack will not be a surprise. Still, if they’re going to save anyone from her wraith, they must act soon.

Review: Eternal Empire #7

Eternal Empire #7 continues the epic journey that Tair and Rion have begun. In the last issue, they finally made it to Nifaali (which I imagine was a huge relief for everybody involved). However, their journey is far from over. They still need to figure out how to stand up against the Empire and take down the Empress. Neither of those tasks sounds simple, especially for two people who have never had any official training (of any sort).

Review: Eternal Empire #1

Usually I don’t do fantasy books. Just can’t. They’re not my thing. I don’t know why, I generally just find myself bored by all things in the fantasy genre. But when I saw that the creative team behind Alex + Ada (Jonathan Luna and Sarah Vaughn) was doing a new book, I got instantly excited. I enjoyed Alex + Ada, as well as other things I have read from the Luna Brothers. I didn’t even care what the book was about, I just jumped in. And I will say that the first page instantly intrigued me – some weird cult shit was going on. But then when I turned to page two and I saw a dragon, I think I automatically started to drift away. I just don’t like dragons and stories with dragons in them and blah blah blah.
