Issue #3 of Freelance is back; with the team, we’ve been steadily learning about and growing fond of. Lance is the backbone of the team, he’s also the moral center, even if the rest of them may be less than willing to admit that bit. He’s also more or less the focus, being that he’s superhuman (literally) and capable of handling situations most humans wouldn’t survive. John is the ex-con bad boy, with a catch; he’s pretty sweet on Lance (feel free to ship that pairing). And finally, there’s Tasha, the techie and sassy one of the group. Together they take on missions, doing their best to keep the world safe.

Review: Freelance #2

The last issue of Freelance left us with the rift still open, and Lance and the Mayor in danger of the rift (remember; the Mayor got sucked into it, while Lance jumped in after him in a daring but stupid rescue mission). Our intro gives us a brief glimpse into how the world looks on the other side of the rift – and I have a feeling that’s just the first taste of it.

Review: Freelance #1

Freelance is a fun new series about a different group of people who do their best to fight the threats that humanity is better off not facing. They’re an odd group, to say the least. There’s Lance Valiant, the only one who could be called a superhero in the group (by power standards that is); Tasha Kolchak is the genius in the group; and then there’s John Cabot, a reformed criminal (well, mostly reformed). Not really the team I’d picture to step up and protect humanity from some very real threats, but you can bet that nobody would complain about their helping.
