Review: Lumberjanes #51
By Cat Wyatt
The Lumberjanes are back for issue #51, and things are about to get interesting. Who would have thought that we’d ever see a Lumberjanes plot where half the cabin spent the entire time indoors? Technically we could say they’ve all been indoors this whole time, but the rest are only barely keeping to that promise.

Review: Lumberjanes #50
By Cat Wyatt
It’s not every day a comic gets to hit the big five-oh, but that’s exactly what the Lumberjanes have done. Here our crew is back for issue #50, and fans couldn’t be happier about it. The last we saw of this curious cabin they were stuck inside thanks to the weather, and we all know how quickly these kids can get into trouble when left to their own devices.

Review: Lumberjanes #49
By Cat Wyatt
It’s that time again! Time for a new issue of the Lumberjanes. Issue number 49 of the Lumberjanes starts off a new plot (and quest) for our lovely Lumberjanes. Thanks to the last issue, we now know how the Lumberjanes can tell what the weather will be like. Unfortunately forewarning doesn’t seem like it’s much of a help, when they’re looking at several days of rainstorms in a row. I think we all know that trying to keep that crew inside for an extended period of time would be a huge undertaking…

Review: Lumberjanes #48
By Cat Wyatt
It’s time for another Lumberjanes adventure! Some of the Lumberjanes have decided to team up and get the camp’s newsletter back up and running (which would have the added bonus of getting them a new badge). Oddly enough, our Roanoke cabin is not the forefront of this adventure, but instead, the Zodiac cabin is.

Review: Lumberjanes: Bonus Tracks
By Cat Wyatt
Fans of Lumberjanes will be thrilled to have all of the short stories and single issues (so far) all in one place; Bonus Tracks. Included are some fantastic shorts, such as Beyond Bay Leaf, Makin’ The Ghost of It, Sphinxes and Riddles and Wishes Oh My!, Faire and Square, and finally Las Estrellas Del Campo: Edicion Lumberjanes. Being that these are primarily one-shot stories, the authors and artists for these issues vary pretty dramatically. But they all contain the characters we’ve come to know and love, so I’m happy with it!

Review: Lumberjanes #47
By Cat Wyatt
Do you think the Lumberjanes will ever get tired of their explorations and adventures? We saw in the last issue that they’re capable of getting scared (not that I blame them, ’The Voice’ is super creepy). Beyond that, I’m not sure these girls are capable of slowing down. When we last saw our campers back in issue #46, they were back in their cabins, but there’s a hitch (isn’t there always for this group?); while they had given up on their quest, their newly acquired friend did not.

Review: Lumberjanes Vol. 8: Stone Cold
By Cat Wyatt
While the wait for the next volume pretty much felt unbearable, we’re finally there! I keep wondering/worrying that we’re going to see the end of the summer on the horizon, but based on some of the theories forming about time dilation I’m starting to feel a little safer about this series. I don’t see it ending sooner than it wants to (though perhaps it’ll do what Gothic Academy did and have ‘breaks’ but always come back to the story, just a year later? It’d be interesting to see how the girls/guys would change after a year away).

There Can Be Only One: BOOM! Studios (2/15/17)
By Dustin Cabeal
It’s been a while since I had the time to do a There Can Be Only One, that and for the past month, there hasn’t been much that I wanted to suffer through in order to complete one of these. Since I haven’t done BOOM! Studios yet I waited for a week of their popular titles and pulled the trigger. What happens next will amaze you… just kidding, but here are reviews for all of their releases this week including in alphabetical order: Adventure Time Comics #8, Kong of Skull Island vol. 1 and issue #8, Lumberjanes #35, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #12, The Deep #2, The Killer vol. 5 and WWE #2.
