Review: Cyclops (2026) #1-5
By Dustin Cabeal
Growing up as a fan of the character Cyclops I would always get excited when he would have a solo series or something outside of the core X-Men titles. Cyclops outside of an ensemble cast, means more Cyclops right? Rarely does that prove to be true, real ones already know. This newest solo series introduces some interesting back story, some interesting retro lore only to rely on old characters presented with muddled art. At the end of this comic, it’s less a Cyclops story and more of a reinventing of an old villain.
Let's Movie - Spider-Man: No Way Home
Let's finish the home trilogy... at home! That's right, no matter how many times Kevin says he's done with superhero movies, Dustin will be able to talk him into just one more. What else do you need for this description? It's Spider-Man... the biggest movie of the pandemic. We're not even covering it our usual way... Spider-Man! Thwip!

A Look Back at "The Amazing Spider-Man: One More Day"
By Damien Becton
With Marvel relaunching The Amazing Spider-Man this week with writer, Nick Spencer, and artist, Ryan Ottley, on board, I decided to take a look back at one of the most controversial Spider-Man storylines ever - One More Day. Even though an overwhelming majority of Spidey readers would agree that the storyline would be better off forgotten, I revisit it and make a case for the arc as one of Peter Parker's most heroic moments! Check it out!
FUN.com's DC and Marvel Coats Are On Sale
By Dustin Cabeal
It's rare that I write about anything nerdom related that isn't a review. My time as it is just doesn't allow for the same dedication. I'd previously written about these jackets and suits and discussed them on a former iteration of the Comic Bastards Podcast. Needless to say before even thinking about writing this post, I fucking bought some coats. I don't even need fucking coats but I bought coats!! I'm dead serious, I saw the prices and was like, "Fuck yeah." The whole dang family is getting coats! Check it out, if you don't, more coats for me. Suits too, but I'm not skinny enough to wear any of their suits so I'm just a fat guy looking into the window that is the internet...
Again, none of this is sponsored, just some cool comic shit I'm excited about... for once!

Comic Bastards Podcast - 019
By Dustin Cabeal
Click here to listen to this week's show
019 - This week is an audio-only podcast, but looking at the low amount of views I might just be doing an audio podcast going forward. I'm sick as hell this week and not in a rock'n'roll kinda way. Also, I'm shaking things up by talking about Bendis signing to DC and Disney attempting to buy Fox. I ran long and reviewed three books as well.
Comics/manga covered on this episode:
- Prison School vol. 8
- Umami #1
- Kid Lobotomy #2
Comics To The Maxx - 004 - Konflict
By Dustin Cabeal
Click the Banner, Headline or here to listen to the episode!
004 - Hey we're finally back with our next episode. If you're expecting these on any regular basis, then you're already disappointed. Kevin and I record these when the ideas strike and when there's time. On this episode of Comics to the Maxx we tackle Marvel's villain problem! Where are all of Marvel's good villain's? Why are they so easily beaten and rotated out like the hot trash they are? All this and more will probably be addressed on this episode.
Video Review: Guardians of the Galaxy 1,000 Dot-to-Dot
By Dustin Cabeal
I'm back with another Dot-to-Dot video. This time around its Guardians of the Galaxy which is apparently now a blanket term for anything from the Marvel space line. There is a time lapse video of course so stick around for that and again, sorry for so many headshots. Still working out the kinks on this stuff. At any rate, my thoughts are on the end of the review, so you don't need to read anymore.
The Top 5 Marvel Slots Games
Go to any online casino and you’ll find that the slots are some of the most prominent games – but then they’re estimated to be the biggest money earners so it’s not such a surprise. What is surprising though, is the sheer range available. There are games designed to suit every taste and interest and movies are a particularly popular genre.
