030 - Plenty of love in the air on this podcast, but only because I forgot to close the window! No idea what that means, I'm just doing the obligatory acknowledgment of Valentines. I'll do the same next month for St. Drunk People's Day. I cover a lot of comics on the show today. All but two of them released today. If you don't want the advanced reviews spoiled for you, stop listening after I talk about Sideways. I would give you an exact time, but then I'd have to listen to the show, and I'm not going to do that!

- Death of Love #1
- Ghost Money #7
- Giants #3
- Judas #3
- Ninjak #4

Review: Ninja-K #4
By Dustin Cabeal
I’m sure for some they’re probably tired of reading the backstories of former Ninjas, but I for one wish we had already gone through the alphabet once with this story. This issue is all about Ninja-G, and her story has similarities to the other Ninjas, but her race and gender make her story different.

Review: Ninja-K #3
By Dustin Cabeal
Admittedly, this issue is a little chatty. If you’re not super invested in the lore behind the Ninja program, then you’re going to be bored. For those of us that are vested, it’s more like, “Go on gentlemen, fire this all out here in the third issue please!” They don’t figure everything out, but Christos Gage introduces a concept that changes the superhero landscape.

Christos Gage & Juan José Ryp Form "THE COALITION" in NINJA-K #6
[Press Release]
Valiant is proud to announce NINJA-K #6, the FIRST ISSUE of “THE COALITION” – A SENSES-SHATTERING NEW ARC and ALL-NEW JUMPING-ON POINT from renowned writer Christos Gage (Netflix’s Daredevil) and incendiary artist Juan José Ryp (BRITANNIA)! On April 11th, Colin King – aka the international super-spy codenamed Ninjak – must recruit a deadly new black-ops strike force featuring Livewire, Punk Mambo, Dr. Mirage, and the robotic alien powerhouse called GIN-GR to take on the most ruthless team of Valiant villains ever assembled... Prepare to face "THE COALITION"!

Review: Ninja-K #2
By Dustin Cabeal
What has been particularly satisfying to me as a reader of Ninjak is how different Christos Gage’s era of the series has been already. All the familiar elements of the universe are there, but Gage isn’t attempting to continue Matt Kindt’s style. It gives the feel of the torching having been passed. Hopefully, like Kindt, Gage will stay on the book for a great while.

Review: Ninja-K #1
By Daniel Vlasaty
Ninjak is something I’ve been aware of for some time now. As a comic book reader this should be obvious. He’s a character I’ve seen here and there. But one I don’t think I’ve ever actually sat down to read before. It’s kind of like that with a lot of the Valiant stuff for me, though. I’m aware of most of it, maybe even read an issue or two. But for whatever reason it’s a publisher I tend to pass by on the shelves. I don’t know why. It’s nothing personal. Nothing against Valiant or the books they’re steady putting out. I think that I just get so wrapped up in the DC, Marvel, and Image books I buy and read each week that I kind of forget about all the other companies putting new books out week after week.
