Review: Zombie Tramp #50
By Dustin Cabeal
It’s been a long while since I’ve reviewed Zombie Tramp and admittedly, even longer since I’ve read it. One of the things I’ve always enjoyed about the series is the fact that you can jump back in and still figure things out. It’s how good comics have always been. There was a time you could jump into any comic no matter the numbering, and with a few issues you’d get the story or be there for the next chapter. Everything I learned about comics was done in this way; no shiny #1’s needed.

To help make things even more special the anniversary issue also features "The Death of Zombie Tramp" event, a year long storyline that pays off everything the series has been building to, and which will leave the character forever changed!

Review: Zombie Tramp #34
By Dustin Cabeal
It’s been a while since I checked in with Zombie Tramp. It’s a series that I find easy to jump on and off of as I’ve stated many times before, in that way it reminds me a lot of Witchblade. The series never makes any hot shot booking in which they just blow through a storyline, but rather it’s all very methodical so much so that I was able to figure out what I missed just from reading the dialogue.

Review: Zombie Tramp – Easter Special
By Dustin Cabeal
I was always a fan of the holiday specials when growing up. I remember a DC Christmas special with particular fondness. These days, they’re making a bit of a return, and much like when I was growing up some are good, and some are shit. I rank the Zombie Tramp specials in the former as the series has always found creative ways to tie into the theme of the holiday, without it being annoying, point in case the Easter special.

Review: DollFace #3
By Dustin Cabeal
I’ll say this; I’m glad we know what happened to Ivan. That is to say; we learn what happened to Ivan’s body in this issue as our trio continue telling their story to Janey Belle aka Zombie Tramp. I’ll be honest; I don’t remember why they’re working together anymore. I know it’s about the book… but it escapes me as to why.

Review: Dollface #2
By Dustin Cabeal
I’m way late on reviewing this, but I didn’t want it to slip by before the next issue. One because I enjoy it and two because it’s pretty different than a lot of other comics out there right now. A big thing for me is that even though this is a “hunter” comic book, it’s not annoying or repetitive like those stories tend to be. The fact that two issues into this series and we’re still revealing how our trio came to be and why they ran into Janey from Zombie Tramp have all yet to be revealed.
