Shenmue 3 Can Happen, But Only If You Support The Kickstarter!

Oh my fucking god this is the best news to come out of E3 thus far and it's not even really an E3 announcement when you think about it. Shenmue 3 is on Kickstarter and I couldn't be happier. Why? Because the series was supposed to be like seven games in total and ended up getting fucked when the Dreamcast and Sega died (oh Sega still makes games you say? Name one that you actually want to play? They're dead... to me at least) and while the series was able to make it to the original X-Box, it received zero support from the user base at that time because most of the user base wasn't into amazing things like Shenmue.

I'm going to fund the fuck out of this game. I played the first one so many times and spent days (game time) collecting bubblegum machine items and going through drawers and I don't regret any of it. I have the soundtrack to the first game and when it comes up on shuffle it's a good day. I don't even know if there is a soundtrack to the second game. Anyway, just go fund it. Give it a dollar I don't really care. You might think that the 2 million goal is crazy, but this is a Triple A title we're talking about and frankly I think it'll get there pretty damn quick since it's already hit the million mark and it wasn't even close to that when I started writing this. It's a good damn day.

E3 2015: Star Wars Battlefront... This Shit's Amazing!

If you listen to the CBMFP then you know that I don't give two fucks about Star Wars anymore. I don't care about it. I'm burnt out big time, but I will play the shit out of this game because I love Star Wars: Battlefront and this one looks to be the best in the franchise. Just watch this video... watch it twice. Like a lot of people I've been patiently waiting for the sequel to Mirror's Edge. Also like a lot of people I never thought it would actually happen and after DICE and EA bailed on last years E3 I didn't have much hope for it this time around. Thankfully that's not the case and I'm already excited and ready to pre-order this fucker. Okay I'm not going to pre-order, but I will buy it. Just kidding I'm going to pre-order the fuck out of it! Japanese Mascot Ossan To Appear As Guest of Honor At Anime Expo

Japanese mascot Ossan will make his American debut at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, July 2-5, 2015. The popular “Go-torch character” (sometimes called yuru chara or yuru kyara) will participate in multiple events at the convention, including an Instagram and Twitter promotion in which attendees can snap photos with Ossan and tag their photos with “#FoundOssan” to receive a small gift. Ossan (sometimes called “Chicchai Ossan”) is one of Japan's top local mascots along with Kumamon and Funassyi. There are more than 3000 mascots in Japan, each of them representing a specific prefecture or city.

Ossan’s real name is Shinichi Sakata. He is a middle-aged Japanese guy with a strong Kansai dialect from Hyogo prefecture with a wife, four children, and a dog-named “Yagi” (goat). Ossan is frequently seen on Japanese television commercials, programs, and game shows. He showed up as a “stickers” on LINE last year and ranked in the Top 3.

In Japan, Ossan has become one of pop culture's favorite characters with his sharp tongue and warm fatherly advice. People in Japan think he is very funny -- ask him to play the national anthem and see what he does! There is also a rumor that you can gain good luck if you get a chance to rub his shiny baldhead... but you always have to ask him nicely.

E3 2015: Shyshine's Bedlam Announced

Well I love the art direction. I think I'm going to have to find out who did the art because it looks familiar or at least the style is familiar. Check out this trailer for the indie game Bedlam, because indie is better! I think I might be checking this one out first hand this week, but if not at least I'm interested in it now.

Trailer Time: Batman v. Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody (Safe For Work... ish)

We used to post a lot of these porn parody things, but it got to the point that there was like one a day so it stopped being fun or funny. This one though... I couldn't help but view the safe for work trailer above. Though I imagine you'll still get in trouble at work for watching it, but at least you could view it on your phone in the break room and no one would be like, "That guy's about to beat his meat to porn!" The trailer is pretty whatever. Axel Braun is usually pretty good about the parodies being closer to the comics, but this one seems to be closer to the movies and not in a good way. I don't know, I'll never watch it unless they humorously release a non-sex version... that amuses me so damn much that I won't be able to pass it up.

E3 Reveal Trailer for Manga-Inspired Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma

I will hopefully be checking this out next week at E3, but in the meantime we'll all have to just wait and enjoy this trailer for Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma. It looks pretty sweet.

Japan’s Innovative WagakkiBand To Be Guests of Honor at Anime Expo’s “Cool Japan Festival”

Japan's hottest export, WagakkiBand has been announced as the Anime Expo 2015 Guest of Honor. They will perform their first U.S. show as part of the “Anime Expo Presents Cool Japan Festival” on Saturday, July 4^th, 2015 at Club Nokia L.A. LIVE. Anime Expo is the largest Japanese cultural event in North America with over 220 thousand attendees over the course of the 4-day event. WagakkiBand is an 8-piece band that fuses Shigin, poetry recitation rooted in Japanese traditional performing arts, Wagakki, traditional Japanese musical instruments, and rock music to bring a fresh and yet authentically Japanese live show. Their YouTube smash hit,“Senbonzakura” has over 21 million views and counting and their latest single, “Ikusa/Nadeshiko Sakura” is the theme song for the anime TV show adaptation of Koei’s “Samurai Warriors.”

Front woman Yuko Suzuhana is in fact the champion of a nationwide Shigin contest. Backing Suzuhana are 7 members playing traditional instruments including Shakuhachi (bamboo flute), Shamisen (3 string guitar like instrument), Koto (Japanese Harp), and Taiko (Japanese drum).

They released their debut album Vocalo Zanmai in 2014, which hit Top 10 twice during a 22 week stay in the Top 100 of Japan's Oricon weekly charts. While their video "Senbonzakura" hit 10 million views within a few months of release.

The band's performances in Japan historically sell out on the same day the tickets were released and their performance in Paris was the highlight of the 15th Japan Expo to over 4,000 fans.

Leading up to the release of Justice League: Gods and Monsters, Machinima has another clip this time featuring Superman. This is the Bruce Timm animation that's coming out soon and while the really long ass trailer doesn't look great, this clip is pretty good.

Set in an alternate universe where Superman is the son of General Zod, President Amanda Waller turns to the man of steel when a weapon malfunctions and threatens to destroy a city. That weapon's name... is Brainiac.

RICC Welcomes Peter Cullen and Frank Welker aka Optimus Prime and Megatron!

Rhode Island Comic Con is excited to welcome the great Peter Cullen and the phenomenal Frank Welker to their 2015 Convention on November 6th - 8th in Providence, RI. Peter is best known as the original voice of Optimus Prime in the Transformers 80's Cartoon series, and most other appearances thereafter, as well as Eeyore in the Winnie the Pooh franchise, Monterey Jack in Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, and many other classic 80's and 90's cartoons.

Frank is best known as the voice of Megatron in the Transformers 80's Cartoon, the voice of Scooby-Doo and the voice of Garfield.

Michael Moreci’s Supernatural Cop Drama ReincarNATE Being Developed for Television

ReincarNATE (@ReincarNATETV), Michael Moreci’s beloved comics about a down and out Private Eye Nate McCoy, has been optioned by Buck Productions (@buckproductions), a leading film and television production company. Currently in development, the project is executive produced by Sean Buckley, Owner, Buck Productions and Patrice Théroux, an industry veteran who has led film and television divisions at key players eOne and Alliance Atlantis. Up-and-comer James Cooper (@cooper_jim), who has directed Interview with a Time Traveler and Elijah the Prophet, developed the adaptation and wrote the pilot. Well known in the world of comics, Moreci (@MichaelMoreci) has penned ReincarNATE, Roche Limit, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, as well as Hoax Hunters, which is currently being developed into a feature film. Based on the popularity of Moreci's outstanding body of work, Heavy Metal is set to re-release the full ReincarNATE comic series for fans in November with a new set of ReincarNATE issues confirmed for 2016.

Starting with simple wooden versions, players will learn to create dozens of Goliaths from a variety of materials: wood, stone, metal and other more unique materials found throughout the world. The Goliaths can be customized and outfitted with weapons to create loadouts for various situations and players’ battle preferences. But giant robots won’t solve every problem. Players will also need to craft items and tools for basic survival, build shelters and fortresses, and choose which factions to support in the war that’s sweeping across the land.

· Build A ‘Bot Factory: Learn how to create dozens of robotic Goliath suits from a variety of materials, including wood, stone, metal and more. Each Goliath can be customized and equipped with a variety of weapons – after players have learned how to craft them, of course.

· Survive A Savage Land: Gather materials to build the tools needed to survive, including healing salves, protective fortresses and more. As players explore the world, they’ll learn more complex recipes for better tools and weapons.

· Choose A Side: The world of Goliath is populated with several factions that vie for control of resources and territory. These factions include humans, the sentient robotic beings The Created, the demon-like Daemonari, and the elusive Forest Folk. Each faction can offer different strategic advantages in unique weapon and robot plans, and players must carefully choose with which factions to align themselves. Players can attempt to broker peace or rally their faction to accelerate the war!

· Procedurally Generate World: Players will explore a unique world with every game, thanks to a procedurally generated world.

· A Living World: Explore rolling prairies, dense forests, eerie swamps, frozen tundras and more, all with a complete day/night cycle and dynamic weather. Weather and terrain will affect how each of the robots performs, so players will need to make sure they have the right machine for the job!

· Co-Op and Competitive Multiplayer: Players can play through Goliath’s campaign with a friend in cooperative gameplay or go head-to-head in arena combat!
