Well Vice is distributing movies now and frankly I'm glad because I want to check this flick out.

Review: Dept. of Monsterology - Vol. 1
For a good few years “dark and gritty” was one of the most-used terms in the entertainment industry. Now though it seems like Zack Snyder is one of the only people keeping it alive, as generally it feels like we’re finally moving away from that phase – at least in comics.
Review: VS Aliens
If you’re into manga there’s a publisher that you may not have heard about called Gen Manga. If you have then you’re probably loving their comics since they’re unlike anything being brought over from Japan to the states. To put it in terms that average comic readers understand they’re the Image Comics of manga.
Trailer Time: Late Phases
Nick Damici was dope in the movie Stake Land, so it's safe to say that I will be checking out Late Phases. Oh and it has a werewolf in it that doesn't suck?! Sold!
Trailer Time: Take Care
Okay so this movie isn't going to be for everyone. Even I can admit that more than likely it will be very predictable and about as deep as any romantic comedy can be... but it has Leslie Bibb from Trick'r'Treat starring in the film and I like her. She's easy on the eyes and her acting is cute. Don't judge me!
Dylan Thomas Versus John Cena In The Latest WWE 2k15 Trailer
Nothing really new here. I just wanted to write that headline. So go ahead a click play so you can "Feel It" or something! Oh and when you hear those horns, you finished!
The Info Zombie – Episode 85: Mark Gibson
Mark Gibson joins me in person to discuss beer, werewolf movies, Halloween, video games, coffee, and more!
Review: Santa Claus: Private Eye – Chapters 1-4
Santa Claus is a private eye. End of story. Nah I’m kidding there’s plenty more to say about these first four chapters of Thrillbent’s newest digital comic.
Review: American Nature Presents – Limited Edition
If you’re unfamiliar with American Nature then you’re not trying hard enough. It’s the only indie comic that manages to capture the humor of MAD Magazine, but with actual modern stories and characters. While I was at NYCC the team behind the series which has appeared at the back of Image’s Hoax Hunters, was kind enough to kick me their limited edition issue for review.
Review: Punk Ass Samurai #1
At first glance you’re likely to think that Punk Ass Samurai is the newest manga to be ported over from Japan; and why wouldn’t you? It’s got the look, the substance, even just having “Samurai” in the title gives the impression of a newly translated series… but it’s not and that’s honestly what makes this first issue so impressive.
Review: Corrsolla Robot #1
Of the two comics I picked up from Ceri Stromberg at New York Comic Con, Corrsolla Robot was definitely my favorite (you can read my review for Bobwars here). You can tell that the story is personal to Stromberg and maybe even one that she’s been working on for a while, after all her website is the name of the comic and the main character shares her name.
Review: D&D – Legends of Baldur’s Gate #1
“Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!” - Minsc
Review: TMNT/Ghostbusters #1
Don’t get me wrong… I’m just as surprised as you are that I’m reviewing this issue. To be honest, no one else wanted it and my curiosity was just too much. I kept thinking, “How are they going to combine the two worlds and make it make sense? HOW!?! AND WHY!?!”
Review: Chaos! The Chosen
Back in the 90s, Chaos! Comics was the weird “horror” publisher who could. They had the genocidal zombie teen in Evil Ernie and a bevy of half-naked impossibly curvy female characters all over the place like Lady Death and Purgatori.
Review: BobWars #1
While I was walking around New York Comic Con meeting people and doing interviews I was also on the hunt for new indie creators and series. One such creator was Ceri Stromberg who had a table set up with three titles for sale. I picked up BobWars and Corrsolla Robot to check out so check back for the second review as we dive into BobWars.
Review: Blackwood State – Tales of Englishness #0
One gem that I picked up at New York Comic Con was Blackwood State – Tales of Englishness. There was something about the clean linework on the cover and the angry-looking female protagonist that caught my eye. After creator Ivan O’Neill was done hitting on beard, and yes I do mean just my beard he seemed to care very little for the man it was attached to, I took my bounty and moved on. I wish I hadn’t because I had a question upon finishing the issue… when will there be more?
Trailer Time: Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron
Okay... even I have to admit that's a pretty damn good looking movie. It looks ten times bigger than the first film and even Captain America 2. What did you all think of it? Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to take in James Spader's performance again.
GameLock.com Launches Today!
A few days ago I wrote about GameLock.com and their new retail model. Today they've launched so check it out!
