The team behind oly F*ck and Holy F*cked are back with a new title! Sign me up, also this sound hilarious. I'm pretty sure that Marino and Arruda Massa are why I still read comics.

Read MoreI completely forgot about Halloween just before opening this "crate" and so I was a little surprised at first by the theme. I should have known, but there were other things on my mind. That said, this theme should have been awesome and instead took the crown for the worst Loot Crate I have ever gotten. You'll have to watch for yourself and see how they shit the bed while using some of horror's biggest brands.
Read MoreYes, you read that correctly. This is the 100th episode of Monster & Wine! Time sure flies doesn't it? Well, fear not dear listener. The show you've come to know and love is staying the same. A lot of reviews fill this episode with Monster giving his thoughts on the 2016 thriller's, "Hush" and "Don't Breathe." He gives an update on, "American Horror Story and finally finishes, "Luke Cage." The duo talk about the goodness that is, "Atlanta." Wine reviews the Netflix documentary, "13th" and the new Kings of Leon album. It's business as usual folks!
Read MoreSo I’m here again, reviewing another episode of ClassicaLoid, and I still don’t have any idea what I’m watching. Is this simply a comedy anime with a shit ton of gags? Is there eventually going to be a story/plot? If there is, will it be worth a shit? Two episodes in and I should not be feeling this way at all.
Read MoreIf you’re going to buy an indie comic anthology, for your money, make it Future Quake. There’s a lot of stories, and it genuinely feels as if each creator was given a minimum page count rather than a max. Each story takes the time to breathe and in some cases, develop into an interesting tale.
Read MoreI debate if I should review Adam + Gill’s Trivia Game. I didn’t particularly like it, but I think that’s because comedy is so subjective. Whereas I didn’t find Trivia Game funny, I’m hopefully that someone reading this review will check it out and find it funny and then subsequently hate my review for not heaping praise upon it. I can live with that if it means that I help someone find this book and enjoy it.
Read MoreWow, I was not expecting to find out that, Nobunaga does in fact have a mouth and that it just looks like he does not have one most of the time. Episode 1 introduces Chidori's master, who belongs to the Fuma clan and Sukezou, a fellow ninja who is in love with Chidori. Chidori and Sukezou leave Chidori's master in hope of finding Nobunaga and serving him. While the two are on their journey, Chidori recounts how she met Nobunaga once before and how he saved her from drowning in a river. She expresses feelings of doubt about Nobunaga recalling their previous encounter.
Read MoreI loved this! The plot, characters, and simple yet effective animation style drew me in immediately. Due to the plots setting, and the fact that several anime shows have already dealt with the topic of the warring states period in East Asia, Nobunaga's reign, samurai's and ninjas, I thought that this show might be the same as the others; but I was wrong. This show has the potential to be truly exquisite; the balance between humour and seriousness is apparent. I realised by the end of this episode that, although at times Chidori seemed a bit naive and a bit of a joke, she was in fact a competent, brave, and formidable ninja girl.
Read MoreUsually, I’m not a fan of anthologies written by one person. It takes a talented writer with a solid vision to pull off such an anthology. For the most part, creator and writer, Jacques Nyemb does just that. Humanescent is unique in that the theme isn’t superheroes, sci-fi or the typical “here’s the character tell a story with them and use these personality tropes” themed story. I’ve never read a collection of stories about “being human” and while that could come across as intentionally vague to some people, I find it to be ambitious.

Read MoreHey, when I upload a new theme or uproot the site completely I like to celebrate with a cosplay posting. Not really, I just found this and couldn't resist sharing Katinka Cosplay's (photos by Photosnxs) brilliant recreation of Meiko Shiraki, the vice principal from Prison School. Which is a manga that I've reviewed (Vol. 1, Vol. 2 & 3 and Vol. 4) and also an anime that we've discussed on Super-S: Anime Podcast.

Read MoreWhat would a sports anime be without vigorous training, am I right? I’m talking about training so hard that you’re going to puke or being so tired that you’re unable to function. Well, in this episode of Keijo, we get all that, minus the puking.
By training, I’m talking about making figure eights with your butt, pushing a tire with your chest and/or butt, and last but not least, walking with your butt.

Read MoreIt's a lot like Waterworld. It's a little like Tank Girl. One bit reminds me a lot of Y: The Last Man. The Chasing Arrows feels a lot like a lot of things that already exist, but unlike a lot of books read here on Bastards, here this doesn't raise my red flags. The only time clichés and allusions are crimes are when you get the sense that the writer just wanted to take credit for a story they read elsewhere or to plug holes in their writing instinctually with overly familiar shortcuts. The Chasing Arrows feels familiar but brings enough of its own ideas to the table to result in a new property worth seeing what it builds into.
