Dark Horse To Collect "Doc Unknown"
By Dustin Cabeal
Doc Unknown is one hell of a series. I read Doc Unknown digital when it hit Submit and loved its classic pulpy vibe, but appreciated the fact that it wasn't trying to be 100% old school. I don't often buy reprints of digital comics, but I enjoyed this series so I might have to pick this one up.

Usually, I see something from Valiant, and I'm like, "Damn, they really do try new things with product licensing." This time... well that gif above is kinda the best representation of my feelings.
Preview: America #1... Mostly Variant Covers Preview
By Dustin Cabeal
If you're wondering why Marvel has 40% of the market, look no further than their variant cover game. They copied the page from IDW's manual. Anyway, I don't mind this. I'll give it an issue which is all I give Marvel Comics, one issue to impress. I don't read for the trade, sorry.
Review: My Hero Academia vol. 7
By Dustin Cabeal
While I didn’t enjoy the anime adaptation of My Hero Academia all that much, I do still really enjoy the manga. It is by far one of the best superhero comics out there in either the Japanese or American market. For those familiar with Marvel Comics, think of Avenger’s Academy when you first heard about it, not when you read it, and expand that idea. The main character Midoriya is enrolled at UA which is a superhero academy.
Review: Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu: Sukeroku Futatabi-hen E.05
By Shanel Kamara
Oh My Gosh! that last scene in Shouwa featuring Yakumo and Sukerou had me on the edge of my seat; I wish the preview would not keep me in suspense regarding Yakumo. I have a love-hate relationship with cliffhangers. They stir up your anticipations but force you to accept the fact that you will have to wait to find out what happens next. I suppose in a way that is good, though because it means that the show is keeping you engaged. Lately, I have noticed that most of the shows I tend to prefer feature cliffhangers or plot twists. It may sound a tad cliche, but Shouwa is unlike any series I have previously watched.

Review: KonoSuba 2! E.04
By Dustin Cabeal
Okay… this is probably the funniest episode of the season, and I hate to say it, but it’s because of Darkness. As much as I find her gimmick hilarious, I just never liked Kazuma’s interaction with her. Not in the way I enjoy him and Aqua, who act like best friends or he and Megumin who have a brother-sister type bond. Darkness is a pervert… I suppose that’s how they bond.

Review: Lightrunner
By Laramie Martinez
Lightrunner is fun in the same way Saturday morning cartoons are fun. Published in 1983, by Starblaze graphics and most recently by Dover Publications, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up this book for review. It turns out I had a classic example of the old school space opera. While it is definitely a product of it’s time, that doesn’t stop it from being a fun read. If you like Silver age art with a familiar yet entertaining sci-fi plot, this comic is worth checking out.
