Bluefin Reveals Sharon Stone Basic Instinct Statue... It's a Statue Perv
By Dustin Cabeal
Lately... I haven't given a damn about posting my thoughts on a press release. Mostly they go unread and I don't have as much time as younger me did. But this statue of Sharon Stone from Basic Instinct... needed something to be said... or something. Mostly, why? Why? And who? Who is buying this? Where are you putting it? On your creepy perv shelf to stare at? I don't get it but to each their fucking own. Before you buy it, look at that price.

Review: Goodnight Punpun vol. 6
By Dustin Cabeal
I have looked at this volume sitting on my desk for a few weeks now. Originally, I wanted to jump right into it like I do when I received a new volume of Prison School (which is tied with Punpun for the best manga currently in the market). The difference being that I knew I was in for a heavy trip once I started this volume for Goodnight Punpun has become increasingly dark as the series reaches its conclusion.
Review: Ultraman vol. 8
By Dustin Cabeal
Ultraman is exactly what I wish DC had done with The New 52 or what Marvel started doing with their Ultimate line of books. The story keeps what came before it, but has flashed forward to a world that’s just starting to get and understand Ultraman once more. He’s not going large and fighting a new monster every week, but instead, he’s still learning how to control his power that’s buried deep inside him.
Review: Shattered Warrior
By Dustin Cabeal
Shattered Warrior was a pleasant surprise to read. On the one hand, it’s fairly predictable with its story, but on the other hand… I couldn’t put it down. What Shattered Warrior does best is creating a believable world, but one with a deep history. At first glance, the story seems like it’s taking place on earth after it’s been colonized by aliens. These aliens are ruthless, and while they haven’t quite enslaved the entire planet, they have taken all their liberties and changed the social landscape of the entire planet.
Review: Blue Baron #2.1
By Patrick Wolf
‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’. We’ve all heard this advice and we’ve all rarely followed it. In fact, ignoring this counsel was exactly what I was doing when I picked up a copy of Blue Baron #2.1. What I initially deemed to be a mediocre indie read quickly flipped-around after reading the first few pages. Don’t let the cover fool you: Blue Baron may be the best action-comedy series of the summer.
Review: The War on Dental
By Dustin Cabeal
Having read creator Michael Aushenker’s Trolls and being pleasantly surprised, I was more than willing to check out his latest one-shot The War on Dental. They are vastly different in the end, but you can see Aushenker stretching his artistic and storytelling muscles as he moves from a character driven story to one with a sweeping narrative.
Review: Dive!! E.01
By Shanel Kamara
I've probably mentioned this before in previous reviews, but I'm an avid viewer of sport themed anime shows, particularly those specializing in less popular sports. Some of my favorites include Ookiku Furikabutte, Cheer Danshi!!, Haikyuu, and the newest series, Ballroom e Youkoso. There are two new sport themed anime shows: Dive!! and Ballroom e Youkoso this summer; I caught both of this series this week but opted to review the swim show, Dive!!, first.

Interview: Emily B. Owen, Creator of Brain Shoodles
By Wes Jones
I reviewed Brain Shoodles earlier this week with a perfect score. Needless to say I really enjoyed it. Writer/Artist Emily B. Owen was nice enough to sit down and answer a few questions about herself and her new book.

Unboxing: Loot Anime – June 2017
By Dustin Cabeal
Well, I meant to post this last week, but I got all busy and shit watching NJPW live... suddenly a video about some moderately okay anime stuff didn't seem all that important. Nah, I was just tired and forgot to upload it. Anyway, what the fuck is up with Loot Crate? All their stuff is either shipping late or not at all... whatever, here's the video!
Slab-Pro Launches Comic's Best Invention Of The Decade! New INVISIBLE COMIC BOARDS!
By Dustin Cabeal
Hey now, I actually reviewed the Slab-Pro Invisible Comic Shield. I called it a board... my bad. Anyway, I actually liked the product. It surprised me, that's how much I liked it so check out the info below and if you're a collector looking to add some flair to your books, then you should go for it.
Killer Crossover: Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica
By Dustin Cabeal
Listen... if Betty isn't dressed like Batgirl by the end then this isn't worth it. On a similar note, if Veronica isn't dressed like Huntress... not worth it. Archie can be dressed like Robin and only Robin because there is nothing remotely "Batman" about him. Other than that, I will read this because of Paul Dini all coasts need me.
Review: Brain Shoodles
By Wes Jones
Brain Shoodles isn’t much of a comic book in the traditional sense. It doesn’t really have a plot or character arc. Instead, it's a collection of doodles called “shoodles,” a portmanteau of “shit doodles” originally used by creator Emily B. Owen as a way of coping with her depression and anxiety. Emily represents herself and others with extremely minimal black and white doodles that, to me, most resemble a baby Tamagotchi or probably more appropriately, the little meringue-shaped figure from old Zoloft commercials.
Review: Sacred Creatures #1
By Ben Snyder
With the enticing concept of Angels and Demons playing a shadow war using humans as their tools, Sacred Creatures #1 almost reeks of a Hellblazer rip off including a blonde man who seems to have all of the spiritual answers. However, Sacred Creatures does enough in its storytelling and aesthetics to set it apart from the other would be clones and inspire hope for the ongoing series.

I picked up Transdimensional having no prior knowledge of the subject. Not even the Kickstarter description. If I had, I probably would have skipped it. I am probably one of five comics fans that don't get into sci-fi horror. The Kickstarter describes the comic as being a sci-fi horror in the same family as Alien and The Abyss. I’ve seen Alien maybe (just the one - sad face from you probably), not The Abyss. I wasn’t the proper audience for this comic. However, if I was into this type of story, I could see its appeal.
