Monster & Wine: Episode 78 - Big Purple Trans Am

That title serves as some clever wordplay and alludes to a fallen icon, which is the topic that kicks off this weeks episode. Wine is taking the loss of Prince significantly harder than Monster and explains what he meant to her and the world. This leads to talk of the word "celebrity," what it means in this day and age, whether or not this generation is cultivating any icons of its own and if social media has changed everything. Monster gives a movie review for, "Pee-Wee's Big Holiday," a character that was a bit of an icon for a young Monster back in the day. Harriet Tubman on the $20 dollar bill is a talking point that has Wine a bit heated, understandably so. Talk of the Washington Wizards coaching staff and wacky news wrap it up all into a big juicy bite.

Monster & Wine: Episode 77 - Nerd Rage

Things kick off with Monster giving his review for "Straight Outta Compton" and then the genre of bio-pics in general is discussed. M also gives a quick update on his dental struggles and let's just say he's not out of the woods yet. We hear you Taylor Swift. A review for Wendy's new Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken sandwich takes place. Getting Japanese snacks delivered to your front door is now a thing. Wine ponders what's really behind those anime eyes and the duo discuss popular anime/manga, "Ghost in the Shell," getting the "Hollywood" treatment. The very recent earthquake situation in Kumamoto, Japan is brought up and M&W wish everyone affected the very best. Wacky news wraps all this up in a very kawaii little bow.

Monster & Wine: Episode 76 - The Joy Of A Crock-Pot

Monster is back at it again. "It" referring to complaining and moaning about yet another trip to the dentist. Sadly, his struggles are not yet over, so the story will continue, and hopefully conclude, by next weeks episode. For now, buckle up for another tale of woe. M&W talk about the USWNT's thrashing of the Colombia team and Monster has some exciting news of his own in regards to the USWNT and his current locale. Wine brings up the rare rainy conditions that the great state of California is currently experiencing and her new found joy with the revelation that is the crock-pot. Random headlines, of the wacky and no-so-wacky variety, wrap up this weeks episode.

Monster & Wine: Episode 75 - The White Episode

No, this one isn't about race but it does have a lot to do with inequality in regards to pay for the USWNT. "The Team" are rightfully suing US Soccer for equal pay but the president of US Soccer refutes their claims. Women being paid less than men for the same job? The hell you say! Monster and Wine discuss, and if you like hearing Wine get heated, this segment is for you! Hamburger Helper's surprisingly good rap mixtape is released and it couldn't be a more clever promotion for a product. Monster reviews Burger King's "Angriest Whopper" and M&W both review Weezer's new "White" album. Some wacky headlines wrap up this passionate episode.

Monster & Wine: Episode 74 - We Didn't Forget You

We now return you to your regularly scheduled podcast. Happy Easter everyone! The dynamic duo are back in action and just to show you how much they care, it's a longer-than-usual episode to please your thirsty ears. Wine fills us in on her parent's recent visit, as well as her run-in with Time Warner Cable, and how they consistently disappoint. The duo discuss the recent Germany v England international friendly match. The terrorist events that took place in Brussels are also discussed, albeit not at length because we're all sick of being sick. Justin Bieber really is the dong-bong that we've all assumed he was and Monster has a news article that may prove it 100%. Random, wacky headlines round out this return to form episode.

Monster & Wine: Episode 73 - News You Can Use

Our very own Wine played a gig last week, hittin' them skins, and lived through her sickness to tell the tale. She gives us a little behind-the-scenes action on what went down, what songs were performed and how kids shouldn't be forced to perform Green Day songs. Monster takes a moment to pay his respects to those affected by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan. People are still suffering five years later. After a somber moment, an onslaught of news stories ranging from protestors at Trump's Chicago rally, and Chicago's insanely high murder rate, to The Eagles of Death Metal proposing that the terrorist events in Paris were an "inside job." We're crazy topical this week folks!

Monster & Wine: Episode 72 - Under The Weather

Come hell or high water, and even in sickness, we're dedicated to bringing you a new episode. Wine isn't feel quite herself, and she describes how it seemed to have come out of nowhere. That being said, there are rants a plenty as the duo dissect the new USA soccer kit and needless to say, neither are pleased. Monster gives his review of the new 1975 album and they both give their thoughts on the new Macklemore & Ryan Lewis album. Monster gives an update on his dealings with the Department of Revenue and then gives an impassioned speech on the new Ghostbusters trailer and why he thinks it's catching so much flack. A few wild new stories brings this episode to a close.

Monster & Wine: Episode 71 - Basking In The Sun

The day you've all been waiting for is finally here. The end of the Wine Christmas present saga. It's been months of speculating and at one point, Monster had all but given up. However, you'll hear Wine open her belated Christmas present on-air. After the festivities fade, Monster goes into a very heated rant about thieves and the Department of Revenue, which turns out to just be a warm-up for his Capcom, Street Fighter V rant. Listener beware. Some discussion on inclusivity and racism takes place. Monster gives a quick review for the Taco Bell Breakfast Quesalupa and M&W give two TV show recommendations/reviews for 11/22/63 and The People v. O.J. Simpson. A little bit of wacky news and that's game.set.match.

Monster & Wine: Episode 70 - A Lot From A Little

There is a lot of exciting soccer stuff going on these days and M&W are right there in the thick of it, recounting the matches that tickled their buttholes with a feather. Monster, always snacking (even though his body advises against it), has two new reviews for the people. First, the Quesalupa from Taco Bell, and the new Sweet & Sour Skittles...from any store that sells Skittles. Apparently (and obviously), Martin Shkreli isn't the only rich, entitled jerk-face out there and the duo discuss the newest Internet villain, Justin Keller. Also, M&W discuss the nature of repeat offenders in America's prison system with a particularly disturbing story. Wine plays a quick game of, "Would You Rather?" and some wacky news brings things to a close.

Monster & Wine: Episode 69 - $750 Pill Popper

Super Bowl 50 is discussed for a small amount. Wine was particularly impressed with Lady Gaga and Monster wasn't particularly impressed with anything, yet feels obligated to explain why. Things take a turn when modern-day-super villain, Martin Shkreli, and his flamboyant shenanigans become the topic. If you don't know who he is, you will after this show and we apologize in advance. Monster breaks down all of the flavors in the new Lay's "Flavor-swap" campaign, and having tried all four, gives his ranking. Wine does her best to guess his tastes. Keeping it food-centric, Monster also reviews a couple of new Oreo's on the market and ends the episode with a wacky news story from, where else, Florida.

Monster & Wine: Episode 68 - Wet Turd On A Paper Towel

This is where M&W truly shine, with their backs against the wall and the pressure of entertaining you at the forefront of their minds. Realizing that this is indeed the weekend for Super Bowl 50, Monster rattles of a list of Super Bowl related fun facts.Wine, naturally, knows most of them, while Monster learned a lot. He also recaps his most recent trip to the dentist, with the root canal saga finally coming to a close. Wine has a dream involving toes and One Direction and it may not end how you think. Lay's potato chips are at it again with the new flavors coming fast and furious. The duo discuss which flavors should stay and which should go. A variety of wacky stories regarding police encounters, not ending in violence, wraps things up.

Monster & Wine: Episode 67 - Don't Drink The Water

Monster continues to prove he knows nothing about the NFL by bringing up Super Bowl 50 a week early. Wine gives her pick for the win and Monster is silent. A snowstorm is coming to Monster's hood and he opts to delay his final root canal dentist appointment because he can't be bothered getting caught in it. The situation in Flint, Michigan, regarding the poisonous water is discussed and boy is it infuriating. Wine recounts her trip to San Diego in which she watched the USWNT (aka The Team) take on the Republic of Ireland in an international friendly. She also gives a quick review for KFC's Hot Nashville chicken with Monster giving his own review for Taco Bell's A.M. Crunchwrap Country. A couple of wacky news stories to wrap things up.

Monster & Wine: Episode 66 - Snowmaggedonpocalypse

Bundle up folks, cause Mother Nature is grumpy and putting the deep freeze on most of the U S of A. Luckily M&W are here to warm your hearts and minds. This (possibly) historic blizzard is discussed. Monster's root canal saga continues with a new update, and finally there is closure to Christmasgate 2015 and the mystery of Wine's gift. Wine has some issues with a powerful pimple and a parking situation at work that could either be paranoia or simply coincidence. Monster hits you with a food review for KFC's new Nashville Hot chicken. Wine has problems with the Academy and a couple of wacky news bits brings it all to a close.

Monster & Wine: Episode 65 - Bright Lights, Big Toothache

Monster gets this party started by updating Wine, and you dear listeners, about his post-op, root canal recovery. It's not all flowers and unicorn farts, trust me. Wine spent some time in Vegas recently and recounts a tale of a bus ride, and more importantly, a questionable individual on said bus. There's a bit of an update on Wine's M.I.A. Christmas present, but it doesn't really clear anything up. It creates more questions than it answers, as they say in television crime dramas. That Dragon, Cancer, a new PC/Mac game is discussed, as it is in no way your typical "game," but more of a therapeutic (for the creators anyway) method of interactive storytelling. A big ol' bundle of wacky news wraps up the show this week.

Monster & Wine: Episode 64 - New Year, Same Old You

Welcome to 2016 and a piping hot new episode of M&W! The duo discuss some of what went down during their holiday season, including gifts that were exchanged. Well, kinda. The cliffhanger from the fall finale gets discussed and the result might not be what you expected. Trust me, it's a whole ordeal. Monster gives his review of Transformers: Devastation for PS4 and how it manages to take you down memory lane in the best of ways. He also regrets to inform listeners that a root canal is in his near future. Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally gets reviewed/discussed and no folks, it is not spoiler-free. Monster & Wine: Episode 63 - The Fall Finale

It's that time of year again, where we bid you all farewell with a pretty fantastic episode. (collars popped) You know M&W had to discuss the shootings that took place in San Bernardino and boy, if that doesn't put you in the holiday mood, what will? Things get musical as Wine gives her thoughts on Adele's new album, "25" and Monster gives his two cents on Coldplay's new album, "A Head Full of Dreams." M also gives his final thoughts on Star Wars: Battlefront for PS4, after having spent some quality time it, as well a review for, "Ant-Man." The duo discuss the movie, "Get Hard" and how the potential was squandered. Wine brings up, "Elf on a Shelf" and how it could possibly tie in to Big Brother (government surveillance, not the TV show). Wacky (and not-so-wacky) news sends things out with a bang!

Monster & Wine: Episode 62 - Gobble, Gobble!!

It's a couple of days after the fact, we know, but with Thanksgiving having come and gone, M&W recount their holiday experiences. Wine had an apple pie situation and Monster had an inclement weather situation. Colorado, Monster's home turf, had an incident taking place at an abortion clinic taking place on the aptly named Black Friday. The duo continue to ponder why people just won't let other people live. Monster gives some quick reviews for Burt's Bees shampoo and conditioner, Popinchips limited-edition, "Crazy Hot" flavor, as well as throwing in the towel in regards to Supergirl on CBS. Some fun-facts about Ska are mentioned and wacky news wraps up another fun-filled episode.

Monster & Wine: Episode 61 - $5 Dollar Foot Long

The M&W curse continues with another act of terrorism taking place at a luxury hotel in Mali. The duo discuss this, as well as the sentencing of now defamed former Subway spokesman, Jared "I like 'em young" Fogle. Monster talks about the review for the recently released, sure-to-be-mega-hit, "Star Wars: Battlefront" and whether or not he plans to get it. You probably know the answer. The topic of objectifying women pops up after Monster gives a quick review of the Amy Schumer flick, "Trainwreck" and the duo get into it in an amusing, yet hopefully, thought-provoking way. M&W also gush over season 2 of Fargo and how you should totally be watching it if you aren't already. Lastly, wacky news brings this humdinger of an episode to a close.

Even if you do in fact live under a rock, you surely heard about the tragic events that took place in Paris on 11/13/15, and of course M&W have to give their two cents. After the heavy, Wine shares her excitement over the Broadway musical, "Hamilton." History buffs rejoice! There's some MLS talk as Monster gets Rapids fever. Some discussion over fast food workers striking over pay. Monster reviews the limited edition Hot Cocoa flavored Chips Ahoy cookies. Fallout 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider were released this past week and their reviews are covered. Monster and Wine both give two big thumbs up for Ash vs Evil Dead on Starz. Wine mentions the heartbreaking tale of the Butterfly Child and sprinkles in a little NFL, Greg Hardy talk. Lastly, 14 shows that seem to be headed to cancellation city are discussed.
