Monster & Wine: Episode 63 - The Fall Finale

It's that time of year again, where we bid you all farewell with a pretty fantastic episode. (collars popped) You know M&W had to discuss the shootings that took place in San Bernardino and boy, if that doesn't put you in the holiday mood, what will? Things get musical as Wine gives her thoughts on Adele's new album, "25" and Monster gives his two cents on Coldplay's new album, "A Head Full of Dreams." M also gives his final thoughts on Star Wars: Battlefront for PS4, after having spent some quality time it, as well a review for, "Ant-Man." The duo discuss the movie, "Get Hard" and how the potential was squandered. Wine brings up, "Elf on a Shelf" and how it could possibly tie in to Big Brother (government surveillance, not the TV show). Wacky (and not-so-wacky) news sends things out with a bang!

Monster & Wine: Episode 62 - Gobble, Gobble!!

It's a couple of days after the fact, we know, but with Thanksgiving having come and gone, M&W recount their holiday experiences. Wine had an apple pie situation and Monster had an inclement weather situation. Colorado, Monster's home turf, had an incident taking place at an abortion clinic taking place on the aptly named Black Friday. The duo continue to ponder why people just won't let other people live. Monster gives some quick reviews for Burt's Bees shampoo and conditioner, Popinchips limited-edition, "Crazy Hot" flavor, as well as throwing in the towel in regards to Supergirl on CBS. Some fun-facts about Ska are mentioned and wacky news wraps up another fun-filled episode.

CBMFP 211: The Only Cop In District X

Today on the show we talk about X-Men... the movies, not their hair. Okay we talk about some of their abs as well, but that's a general conversation about the workout habits of superheros. More Mystery Science Theater 3000 news (it's on Kickstarter) and Dark Knight Returns for a fourth time because Frank Miller isn't doing shit with that third one you're buying next week. Monster & Wine: Episode 61 - $5 Dollar Foot Long

The M&W curse continues with another act of terrorism taking place at a luxury hotel in Mali. The duo discuss this, as well as the sentencing of now defamed former Subway spokesman, Jared "I like 'em young" Fogle. Monster talks about the review for the recently released, sure-to-be-mega-hit, "Star Wars: Battlefront" and whether or not he plans to get it. You probably know the answer. The topic of objectifying women pops up after Monster gives a quick review of the Amy Schumer flick, "Trainwreck" and the duo get into it in an amusing, yet hopefully, thought-provoking way. M&W also gush over season 2 of Fargo and how you should totally be watching it if you aren't already. Lastly, wacky news brings this humdinger of an episode to a close.

Even if you do in fact live under a rock, you surely heard about the tragic events that took place in Paris on 11/13/15, and of course M&W have to give their two cents. After the heavy, Wine shares her excitement over the Broadway musical, "Hamilton." History buffs rejoice! There's some MLS talk as Monster gets Rapids fever. Some discussion over fast food workers striking over pay. Monster reviews the limited edition Hot Cocoa flavored Chips Ahoy cookies. Fallout 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider were released this past week and their reviews are covered. Monster and Wine both give two big thumbs up for Ash vs Evil Dead on Starz. Monster & Wine: Episode 59 - Everything But The Kitchen Sink

M&W really do come out the gate covering a little bit of everything in this week's episode. Justin Bieber and his new music get mentioned. Monster reviews the new limited edition Peppermint Oreos. The duo then discuss a couple of notable news headlines. Can you guess if this week contains another tragedy? Spoiler alert: it does! Monster throws in a couple of movie reviews, as well as the Gamespot review for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 which leads to a talk on everyday violence. Wine mentions the heartbreaking tale of the Butterfly Child and sprinkles in a little NFL, Greg Hardy talk. Lastly, 14 shows that seem to be headed to cancellation city are discussed.

Monster & Wine: Episode 58 - Halloween!

Well, what do you know? The Halloween episode of M&W just so happens to land on Halloween. It was meant to be. Monster kicks things off with his personal review for a new frozen-section pizza called, "Screaming Sicilian." Wine then goes into the fact that women soccer players aren't getting paid anywhere near what the men are getting, and how a certain Senator isn't doing the ladies any favors. After sighing over American Horror Story: Hotel, Monster goes down a list of recently watched films, and boy are there a lot of rants. Various fun facts about Halloween are sprinkled throughout the episode with a few wacky news tales to wrap things up.

Monster & Wine: Episode 57 - In A Galaxy Far, Far Away...

The 3rd and final Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has indeed dropped (that's what the kids say these days isn't it?) and M&W discuss it as well as the Star Wars franchise in general. They also talk about some school killings that took place in Sweden recently, and notice the word "killings" as opposed to the word "shooting" that you're all too used to at this point? That point is addressed as well. Monster talks about his new found love for Rick And Morty on Adult Swim and follows that up with a fairly large The Walking Dead rant. This week provides a ton of wacky news; ranging from nutty, stopping at strange and eventually going down some very dark roads.

Monster & Wine: Episode 56 - Asspocalypse

Can you imagine this episode would start off talking about Lamar Odom of all people? Well, maybe you could. Beware the herbal Viagra people. Talk of sports and the LA Dodgers leads M&W into "gotcha" journalism and how it has become the norm. Game talk is back, with Monster oozing with excitement over the just-announced Friday the 13th: the Video Game and it's Kickstarter campaign. Monster gets his rant on about the mediocrity that is American Horror Story: Hotel (thus far anyway), and pours favorable words over Daredevil on Netflix, while Wine proclaims that Scream Queens is frighteningly good fun. Monster asks Wine some thought-provoking questions in a segment with a very heavy "Inside the Actors Studio" vibe and tons of wacky news wraps up this episode.

CBMFP 206: Nacho Mama

Well here it is. You barely got an episode this week since Comic Bastards HQ is getting ready to move. That said, it's questionable if you'll get an episode next week, but we'll do our damnedest. As for this week, lots of NYCC news because that's the only game in town! I won't bore you with the pre-roll, but we talk about some stuff. Monster & Wine: Episode 55 - Rant-o-Rama!

Is it hot in here or is it just us? Americans can't stop shooting each other and M&W discuss the shooting at Northern Arizona University and one just outside of Texas Southern University. Fun! (that's sarcasm people) Monster then gets the excitement going by giving his thoughts on Star Wars: Battlefront beta on PS4, but then gets really angry talking about Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. That heated rant leads Wine into one of her own, thanks to Fox Sports and their lack of HD. The rant back-and-forth includes Heroes: Reborn and the USA vs Mexico soccer game. After the dust has settled, Monster reviews American Horror Story: Hotel and wacky news gets weird and a little bit creepy.

Monster & Wine: Episode 54 - A Chill In The Air

Welcome to October and for most of us, Fall! The cool crisp autumn air brings comedy with it, in form of M&W! Monster revels in the changes of the leaves and recommends one of his favorite movies for all you dear listeners. Of course, the tragedy at Umpqua CC in Oregon is discussed and neither M nor W have any answers. Wine recounts a tale in which she shared the feels with her brother via a mysterious text. Monster then runs down various TV shows and video games he's excited about. Lastly, the two discuss just why it is that punk ends up becoming pop.

Monster & Wine: Episode 53 - I Feel Your Solid Phantom Pain

No one can really recall how it happened, but Monster & Wine find themselves recounting the time they spent working in porn shops. Monster, then gets sidetracked by a pumpkin spice cupcake which leads to a bit of a Little Debbie/Hostess battle discussion. Wine has a new tale regarding the Metal Man, a recurring character on the show and in her life. The two then discuss FIFA 16 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, with Monster recently obtaining the former and the latter just looking insane to our hosts. Then we have the return-of-fall-TV discussion with the duo trading off on shows they're excited about and shows they watched. Wacky News tops off this comedic sundae.
