Monster & Wine: Episode 70 - A Lot From A Little

There is a lot of exciting soccer stuff going on these days and M&W are right there in the thick of it, recounting the matches that tickled their buttholes with a feather. Monster, always snacking (even though his body advises against it), has two new reviews for the people. First, the Quesalupa from Taco Bell, and the new Sweet & Sour Skittles...from any store that sells Skittles. Apparently (and obviously), Martin Shkreli isn't the only rich, entitled jerk-face out there and the duo discuss the newest Internet villain, Justin Keller. Also, M&W discuss the nature of repeat offenders in America's prison system with a particularly disturbing story. Wine plays a quick game of, "Would You Rather?" and some wacky news brings things to a close.

Super Bowl 50 is discussed for a small amount. Wine was particularly impressed with Lady Gaga and Monster wasn't particularly impressed with anything, yet feels obligated to explain why. Things take a turn when modern-day-super villain, Martin Shkreli, and his flamboyant shenanigans become the topic. If you don't know who he is, you will after this show and we apologize in advance. Monster breaks down all of the flavors in the new Lay's "Flavor-swap" campaign, and having tried all four, gives his ranking. Wine does her best to guess his tastes. Keeping it food-centric, Monster also reviews a couple of new Oreo's on the market and ends the episode with a wacky news story from, where else, Florida.

Monster continues to prove he knows nothing about the NFL by bringing up Super Bowl 50 a week early. Wine gives her pick for the win and Monster is silent. A snowstorm is coming to Monster's hood and he opts to delay his final root canal dentist appointment because he can't be bothered getting caught in it. The situation in Flint, Michigan, regarding the poisonous water is discussed and boy is it infuriating. Wine recounts her trip to San Diego in which she watched the USWNT (aka The Team) take on the Republic of Ireland in an international friendly. She also gives a quick review for KFC's Hot Nashville chicken with Monster giving his own review for Taco Bell's A.M. Crunchwrap Country. A couple of wacky news stories to wrap things up.

Monster & Wine: Episode 65 - Bright Lights, Big Toothache

Monster gets this party started by updating Wine, and you dear listeners, about his post-op, root canal recovery. It's not all flowers and unicorn farts, trust me. Wine spent some time in Vegas recently and recounts a tale of a bus ride, and more importantly, a questionable individual on said bus. There's a bit of an update on Wine's M.I.A. Christmas present, but it doesn't really clear anything up. It creates more questions than it answers, as they say in television crime dramas. That Dragon, Cancer, a new PC/Mac game is discussed, as it is in no way your typical "game," but more of a therapeutic (for the creators anyway) method of interactive storytelling. A big ol' bundle of wacky news wraps up the show this week.
